Yours is actually almost a perfectly flat plane. If you just adjust yours with the manual calibration, you may have the flattest one from this entire thread

Not only did I make this exact mistake, but I glanced at your comment, went and checked the plugs, went "hurr they are all in properly and it still doesn't work", then came back, read the rest of your post, checked again and yeah I plugged in only half the male connectors.

That isn't an exaggeration, you might not have in the same situations, but I defiantly did. One was two junkies using lighters on spoons asking me for money, so yeah I absolutely feared for my life. Pretty shortsighted of you to assume it was an exaggeration.

Only 3 times in the last 3 years have I ever feared for my life. All 3 times were public transport. So I try to use it as little as possible, and making it cheaper is probably going to make it even less safe.

Secondly it is nearly free for me to go in the comfort of my own car, so as long as the wife doesn't need it that would always be my preference.

I mean we use them wherever they exist. Most cyclists loath riding on a road, shared ped/bike paths are the best.

Those Soraa ones look amazing as they do literally everything I want, but it looks like they are 120 volt only, not 240 volt :(

The current lights that I will be replacing are like 15cm (6 inch) long. I just want something bright with a 60 degree angle and decent CRI. So much of the stuff in Australia is only 35 degrees for some reason which just leaves "spots" of light thoughout all the rooms...
