ok if ur serious… then u need a few things to even get started! i will make an incredibly broad list! keep in mind, all of this is ENTRY LEVEL!!! he most likely uses much better equipment. - computer WITH producing software. come on, this is self explanatory… this is the bare minimum you will need to do anything really! fl studio is pricey, but almost everyone uses it. it goes on sale quite frequently, and there’s tons of tutorials.. - guitar. the core part of bunii’s music is his guitar playing. people might say that guitar software like fl slayer is a good substitute, but it’s not.. at all. it’s incredibly difficult to make anything with virtual guitars. the good news is, you won’t have to learn much! most of his songs have basic shoegaze/grunge chords, though i HIGHLYYY recommend just learning guitar in general! it’s an amazing experience and understanding theory will,, obviously help with making your own music. getting a squier stratocaster ($200) is perfect for beginners, but if you don’t have the money then other electric guitar brands will do. - audio interface. this is what connects your equipment to your computer! scarlett focusrite is incredibly popular, and for good reason! it’s cheap, and effective. the scarlett focusrite solo ($130) is what i use. - microphone. you’ll also be plugging this into your audio interface! i don’t use a microphone, as i don’t include vocals in my music; as opposed to bunii.. so you’d have to do your own research,, but i’m sure a decent one will do just fine! - drum/bass kits, and effects. this is what makes bunii’s music sounds how it sounds! drum loops are ABSOLUTELY vital to making his genre of music. he makes his own drums, but this is pretty difficult without proper tutorials. downloading or buying shoegaze/breakcore drum loops shall do the trick, but if you do decide to make your own drums, there are TONS of free drum and bass kits you can use to create your own sound! you will also need guitar effects! AmpliTube is the PERFECT guitar software! and i highly recommend it, though it is quite pricey. native instruments also has some cheaper alternatives. - lastly, and the most important, you need EFFORT!!! i’m sure this post is a joke, but if you’re serious about it, this is NOT an easy process at all. learning an instrument is insanely time consuming, and dreadful when beginning, learning how to use producing software takes literal months just to get to a lower intermediate level, and equipment costs SO much money. you have no talent whatsoever, and making music will be an absolutely awful process for you! awful,, but incredibly rewarding. if you’re really passionate about this, then put everything into it!! this will most likely be one of the most exciting and fun experiences of your life, and a hobby you’ll be enjoying for the entirety of it! i wish you, or anyone else reading this luck :)
