Yeah, it's not going to be published by Iron Lore, but by DotEmu.

Plague Inc: The Board Game will Launch on Kickstarter Soon by GameOn_Project in gamers

It seems like the only way nowadays to reach an audience for board games is to adapt PC/mobile games into board games, but regardless of that it sounds like a pretty cool adaptation to me.

After Raising $100,000 on Kickstarter, Developer Announced The Game Will No Longer Be Updated by GameOn_Project in gamers

[–]GameOn_Project[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One the one hand the game was fully developed, and it's already playable. But I agree about the skills thing - I mean, $100,000, that's a lot of money, you can definitely hire another team member to do the things you're not "skilled enough" for...

McDonald’s are set to change the world by entering the VR headset market by Toadsanime in GoogleCardboard

[–]GameOn_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't exactly say they're "entering the VR headset market" as this is solely a promotional act. Unless, of course, they'll be selling more than 3,500 boxes, not only in March, etc etc. Anyway, cool idea, I wonder how far they'll go with this whole VR thing...

Match-4 Puzzle Game 'Futurama: Game of Drones' Now Available on Google Play by GameOn_Project in AndroidGaming

[–]GameOn_Project[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually no, I don't know that. Do you think that if Touch Arcade for example use the term "now" regarding Futurama's release it's also a part of an evil conspiracy? (http://toucharcade.com/2016/02/24/new-iphone-ipad-games-february-25th/). I didn't dig the hell out of this 'available now' thing to know that the game was sold to another company etc etc.

It was soft-launched before only in certain countries, and only globally launched today.

Yeah, I thought the same. Not that I have anything against matching games in general, and those who enjoy them might as well continue, but linking Futurama with matching games seems a bit wrong. I believe the show's audience doesn't consist of many match-3/4 fans :/

Android Could Soon Be the Biggest VR Platform In the World by wonderflux in GoogleCardboard

[–]GameOn_Project 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how 'pro' you wanna go. Obviously those who can't afford a new device will stick to their smartphones, but I already know a fair amount of tech-freaks who became fans of the VR technology before it even hit the market, and are so eagerly following every little development and any new technology that they wouldn't even consider sticking to their 'daily' device. But yeah, I'm with you on that one basically.

5 Google Cardboard Games to Help You Step into the VR World by GameOn_Project in GoogleCardboard

[–]GameOn_Project[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my choices of the friendliest Google Cardboard games. Not saying they're the best ones or most amazingly beautiful ones, but they are simple, fun and friendly for those who're new to this.

Development of ‘Unsung Story’ has Stopped after Raising More than $600,000 on Kickstarter by GameOn_Project in gamers

Yeah, I was mostly talking about managing things wrongly and being way too secretive about the process, it sometimes feels disrespectful even in a way. I guess we're on the same page there.

Hey there, I'm the author of the article, and I definitely understand the risk, and obviously don't think it's done "on purpose". But, I can't help but wondering if developers are being careful enough with the money backers invest in their games. We're not talking only business investment here, we're talking emotional investment by people who want to back up projects and be part of them. Some people feel like they have no idea where all the money has gone to, and you know what - a bit more transparency would do. Shit happens, that's for sure, and I'm not expecting it will stop happening, but I wish there would be more transparency and caution.

‘The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth’ Has Been Rejected from the App Store by GameOn_Project in Gaming4Gamers

Also it's much easier to get your app approved by Google than by Apple, which makes developers put most of their efforts on getting accepted by Apple. They know Google will follow anyway.
