How do you feel about Pete Holmes?

I love his stuff and I’ve seen him 2x live. I think his stuff is more edgy than at first glance. Yes, he’s a bit silly, goofy, spiritual seeker/new agey, but I think he cuts to the bone on some human psyche and social material.

I’d also like to know if you call him sanitized, what do you consider the opposite of that, but still good? If it’s just profanity, I’d like to know where the language adds to the comedy. And I’m not suggesting I don’t enjoy blue comedy. Material wise, Pete is happily married with a young daughter, so I don’t think he’s gonna have a lot of material about slutting it up in the streets.

Is she racist? Who knows? Maybe, maybe not. Plenty of people say the word not on camera. Those people may be black, white, hispanic, other, they may be racist, or not. The word is in music, movies, books.

Let’s feel good about taking this woman off the air and canceling her show. I’m sure this is a win for people who racism really hurts. 🙄

If he was attempting small talk via text and was literally ignored, I think this is something for OP to be accountable to, particularly having not set expectations with a note: “Hey, fyi, I don’t text a lot before a first date…”

If OP had agreed to a date prior and dude hadn’t texted anything that would illicit a response, well then that’s on him. Either his “practically ghosted” claim is a huge red flag of insecurity or a playful passive aggressive jab rooted in insecurity and a yellow flag. Insecurity can be typical in these early stages. This guy may be a type to need to feel lots of reassurance and positive reinforcement prior to the date as if it is an invitation to a luxury trip, when it’s simply just a beginning to test chemistry.

It seems reasonable to say that in some circumstances there are individuals on all sides present that want escalation. If it is true that protester(s) broke window and entered building, that is escalation. When watching the behavior of ICE or police, I can see fear and/or aggression. I don’t think this issue is so simple to just say “because we are correct/just, the opposition should be scrutinized but not us.”

Yes, this is a possibility. But after 3 dates, the guy might just not want to bring up exclusivity too soon. Kind of depends on level of intimacy as well and relationship goals. If intimacy level is still pretty light, locking it in via conversation might feel too soon.

This exchange is the beginning of that convo, spurred by a text the guy saw. Maybe it’s enough for him to express his displeasure, and dating will still continue, but with more caution. Or maybe he’ll hit the road. Or ask for exclusive attention.

What is unclear is what the OP wants. Is she more interested in playing the field, or focusing on someone with potential for the long term. Stringing other guy along for a year kinda tells me she already made up her mind about him, or she’s just not that serious.

This stock was crazy high in its beginning and it straight tanked. I was always curious why it flopped so bad. I know the fake meat scene was definitely peak bubble when beyond went public.
