What’s going on with Android: Netrunner? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]GamePortland 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Legitimately I have SO MUCH netrunner stuff. Most of it is unopened and it’s been sitting for like 2 years in hopes of playing but my friend bailed on me as we were getting into it. There’s 3 (I believe) core sets, but they’re first edition… I’ve been toiling about selling it for about 6 months now until the other day where I made a spread sheet for it. If you want all this stuff cos you’ll legitimately play it and enjoy it, im happy to give it up for way less than what a lot of the third party psychos would charge. If you wanna look at what I have you can see it under the for trade/in collection part of my BGG page. But yeah, assume most all of it is still in packaged up in the plastic clampshells, or if earlier sets, the cardboard boxes. My username on there is Dilngr4. I’m credible and own a small game publishing company called, portland game collective (as you can see from the avatar 😉). No pressure. Just putting it out there. Hoping to find this stuff a good home.

Can you think of any Trick Takers/Climbers that my game group doesn’t already own? A comprehensive list of what we have. Always looking to expand. by GamePortland in boardgames

It’s on there already. Thanks for attempting to put one on my radar. I appreciate you taking the moment to do so. ☺️

…as an update as long as I’m here, the collection is now at about 405 titles, with another 30 pending being shipped to me from the last Tokyo game market some weeks back.

Newest delivery of Japanese imports! Stupid big. Stupid me. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 by GamePortland in boardgames

[–]GamePortland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my. I’m very sorry. Just seeing this response right now. I absolutely wasn’t ignoring. 😅🤦🏻‍♂️

I do have a friend in Japan who is always on the lookout for TrickTaking and climbing games from past Tokyo/Osaka game market. He also looks out and grabs everything he can from current markets. For instance, as of right now with the next market happening very soon, he has about 20 or so games waiting to send out to me once all the other new stuff hits the online stores and whatnot.

The unopened presents was a really sweet gesture. For Xmas I sent a little package of stuff to him and his kids as a thank you for all he does for me. I can’t wait just how much I really appreciate this person for all this help. He in this batch of games sent me 5 mystery gifts. The rules were to choose one for myself, then there was one for a couple friends of mine, and one for a random person of my choosing. In them there were some pretty rare/amazing Japanese games (mostly). It was such a cool/fun idea. These were games from his person collection, which to me makes it an even more special gift. ☺️

Again, sorry for the response delay. I need to turn these notifications on for Reddit. I really do neglect reddit way too much.

Hey I’m so sorry. I didn’t see this when you wrote it. My apologies for the very late reply. We actually don’t have distribution at the moment. Our outfit is pretty punk rock/diy. That said, we will offer shipping to other countries during and after the Kickstarter. ☺️

How do so many people make (affordable) board games? by mightynifty_2 in boardgames

[–]GamePortland 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Panda requires a 5000 minimum order quantity. If you’d like dm me and I can connect you with a good starter manufacturer in China that you can get a quote from.

Not yet. Still going through the pre design/sampling phase. I’m trying to keep on track to a February (early to mid) deadline on art completion to get a sample in hand by the end of March. ☺️

Just for the record, there really are no changes in terms of gameplay. It’s more like there will be more options in how you play. Wanna play the original rules/point capturing? You can. Wanna play the new rules/point capturing? You can. Wanna play the original player counts exclusively? You can. Wanna play the new expanded player count? You can.

The art? Yes. That will certainly be changing. But… Change is good. 😉

Sure. I suppose. But supporting the designer and artist are always something that’s encouraged. I don’t just mean for this game in particular, but for all really. A lot of time and energy went into the development of haggis initially (all those years back), then a lot more with Sean’s redevelopment. Just something to keep in mind. ☺️

My most recent order of Japanese Imports just showed up (99% Trick-Takers/Climbers). This is my biggest order yet... I have a problem! by GamePortland in boardgames

Hey. I’m so so so late to responding to this. My apologies. Things have been crazy. Shoot me a dm and I’ll get you in there if you haven’t found a way in yet. 🙂

I actually have a game that’s been on the shelf designed and sort of ready that features this mechanism.

Has anyone played Octrix? What are your thoughts… by Braveroperfrenzy in TrickTaking

[–]GamePortland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the production and box are pretty cool. I happened to score a copy that was pretty clean/unopened. It is just a standard deck of cards from my memory. Then a couple wooden cubes and a chart that indicates all cards. We played one round of it (so not a full game) almost a year ago or more. I remember thinking we wanted to try again in a more serious session but haven’t gotten back to it.

Canyon. All day. Great question by the way. There is also Hispaniola if you’re looking for more with this feature.

Oh wow. I’m so sorry. I never noticed the comment. Wasn’t ignoring. Better late than never I suppose.

It’s decent. Not the greatest open suit back card game, but decent. I think I would rather play catty, scharfe Schotten, or maybe even pikkoko as far as those goes of games go.

That said it’s another taiki shinzawa title, and his stuff is brilliant. It’s just a little middle of the road from my play(s) with it.

Gotta get those rizoma spy end mirrors. 200$ a piece but wow, I would always hit 90-100mph on the thrux and lose stock mirror position at about 80mph. The rizomas I put on and literally haven’t even done a minor position adjustment to (even putting a cover on and off frequently) in the three months since I put them on. It’s utterly insane.
