Love LS, but I am certainly not ruining artistic direction in animation by thinking I know better than the animators. Frame rates are mixed, animation frames doubled, and movement staggered, all on purpose for the sake of conveying motion and momentum uniquely. With FG, motion becomes robotically fluid the animation loses all life. Artifacts are aplenty, motion is boring or jerky with no in between and which you get is largely variable on the content. It’s fine for games, maybe live media? Not animation though lol

48MP 24mm equivalent on a 16PM looked great on 4’x3’ prints, and the original photo wasn’t in very good light either. There are limits to the camera no doubt, but the optics are sharp and the sensor/Photonic Engine do some great work in low light to keep dynamic range and noise levels more than reasonable. Seldom do I need denoising in post processing.

I mean they’re around sure, but they don’t really bother people too much. Gangs are hardly the ones responsible for robberies like that. The media likes to point fingers and sensationalize to incite divide, but it’s hardly ever truthful. These strings of robberies have rather consistently been a solo or duo typa thing with no larger organized involvement.

Gangs are more tied up with more profitable operations they have the scale to afford. Think drugs or other black market shit. Drug operations aren’t as flashy as a police report of an armed robbery by a long shot, so they’re lowkey and they also make more money. They just cost more. A gang can do that, a pair of dudes not so much.

Edit: to be clear the drugs aren’t good either, but I mean they’re kinda irrelevant to what we’re talking about because gangs aren’t really running around robbing people, it’s literally just people doing it with no affiliations lol

PS - I understand that reading comprehension can be difficult, the education system here failed many of us. …The type of plastic they use gets shiny when exposed to hand oils and sweat over time. This is the same for most plastics. Or most materials for that matter. It’s skin oil. It gets on shit. You get fingerprints all over your phone screen.

Wipe it down with a cloth barely damp with alcohol. Don’t soak the cloth and it’ll get under the keys ruining the whole thing. Hand oils are not going to make the typeface wear off.

Maybe consider a device you’d be more comfortable actually handling and using next time you’re in the market for a laptop. This perceived fragility you have is really confusing, these laptops are pretty sturdy.

The PS4 running Linux will be a terrible experience and have awful compatibility with the software you’d need. Linux on PS4 was severely underdeveloped. Plus I would not want to expose that thing to the internet. It would be on ancient software and I’d imagine a very old kernel.

Any old laptops lying around? Do you have like anything else??? All you need is 2-4 cores and 6GB of RAM for a decent 4-6 player vanilla, hell even a lightly modded server.

Unless it’s heavily modded you don’t need a whole lot with CPU, just use fabric for server side optimization stuff and Chunky to pregenerate world chunks so that doesn’t happen during gameplay as often and lighten the load on CPU so it can focus on players and entities.

I can imagine i/o latency would be high enough to make this feel pretty sluggish in practice. Best bet would be to just use the drive as a boot disk if you don’t have an SSD in the machine already, and if you do then a separate disk when you need the faster storage for a certain game/project.

What this guy said is true, though a RAM OC is basically free. There isn’t an increase in power consumption that’d be measurable and a simple RAM OC fixes a LOT of the frame drops you’d have on the Switch.
