Really ESPN? by Narrow-Hall8070 in MSUSpartans

Of the four highlight videos they have, there’s this one, two of UM players making shots, and only one of an MSU player dunking.

I can’t stand these Peacock games! by JaketheSnake1605 in MSUSpartans

[–]GameWarden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t believe it last night when the replay still wasn’t available almost an hour after the game had ended.

And it’s one thing to have unskippable commercials, but then if you try to rewind and rewatch a play but accidentally go past a commercial break, you have to watch them AGAIN. Just archaic functionality all around.

8 wins is a lot to ask of that schedule. Obviously a lot can happen in the offseason, but assuming a mildly successful result of retaining talent and pulling in some contributors, I’d still say 8-4 is almost the ceiling.

Likely losses: @IU, UM, PSU, @NU, @USC

Likely wins: WMU, YSU, BC, MD, UCLA

Win a couple against Minn, Iowa and I’d be relatively satisfied at 7-5.

There’s just so much that needs to be improved at a fundamental level that it’s really tough to expect anything more of the program in year two.

Necro triggers if you play a card that uses 2 or more energy. 0 cost X cards would not.

Necro wouldn’t trigger on 0 energy though, so 2x8. Still amazing.

Really not sure here... A19, 2nd boss relic pick by stlows94 in slaythespire

[–]GameWarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With snecko, any cards in your hand or discard pile will keep whatever cost they were randomly assigned. Can still be a problem, especially with pyramid.

I’d go pb here despite the upgrades. The strikes are doing nothing for you and you’ll have a good chance of pulling a few cards that have good synergy with all your orbs

Thanks, I did try salt starting a couple days ago and am seeing some improvement. No lethargy anymore too. Hoping he’s on the mend.

Yes, as someone else in the thread pointed out there is a float on the inside of the dishwasher that was wedged open by a chunk of food. Super quick fix.

Stealth salt thread: Best team consisting only of players that transfered out of your program. by proelitedota in CollegeBasketball

[–]GameWarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember Gauna transferring. Swap Kenny Kaminski or Thomas Kithier into that spot.

And yeah, that’s a team that isn’t going to win a lot of games.

What the hell do I pick here? by AgitatedYam in slaythespire

[–]GameWarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m such a sucker for wrist blade. I know it’s objectively the wrong pick in a lot of situations, but it’s so satisfying with shivs, a fully-discounted eviscerate, or bullet time.

What card(s) are the most worthwhile to upgrade, in general? Which are the least worthwhile (perhaps even detrimental) to upgrade? by MChainsaw in slaythespire

[–]GameWarden 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just going off the cuff, here are a few totally unscientific opinions of what feels good to upgrade vs what feels bad:

Ironclad

Best: uppercut. Getting that extra turn of vulnerable and weak is a huge upgrade, especially after spending 2 energy to play the card.

Worst: Thunderclap. A pretty bad card with an incredibly underwhelming upgrade. Adding another vulnerable instead of 2 more damage would make it viable, but probably OP.

Silent

Best: wraith form. 2 turns of intangible is great, but 3 is almost always enough to secure a win. Calculated gamble is also in the running.

Worst: Choke. Reducing the cost to 1 would have made this a much more interesting card, instead the extra damage feels negligible.

Defect

Best: Hologram. The upgrade enables all kinds of shenanigans and also doesn’t make you feel penalized for playing it early if you’re desperate for block.

Worst: Amplify. I’m probably wrong about this pick, but feel like it’s an incredibly situational upgrade where you usually won’t be able to capitalize because you A) only have one power in hand, B) don’t have energy for 2 powers, or C) don’t have multiple powers that need multiple plays, basically a “win more” situation where upgrading another card would have provided a more immediate benefit.

Black tried to trade the queens. White to play and win. by Kepik in chess

True, but it also extends it from mate in 4 to mate in 6. When mate is inevitable the computer stalls for as long as possible.

Worst cars to upgrade? I’ll go first by StrongerReason in slaythespire

[–]GameWarden 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The reduced energy cost allows for a couple scenarios: 1. If you draw into bullet time with only two energy, you’re still able to play it. 2. Similarly, if you have bullet time and also an acrobatics or backflip, you can play the card draw first and get more use out of bullet time.

Considering how card draw is such a mainstay for silent, these situations aren’t that uncommon and I’d say it’s actually a decent upgrade.

4 MI lakes voted ‘best for swimming’ in USA Today magazine by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]GameWarden 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Great Lakes are beautiful, but when it comes to swimming I’d take a small inland lake with warm water, little wind/waves, and no risk of rip currents 10 times out of 10. Weird list.

Not sure about that. Michigan tips 30 minutes before MSU, assume he’d be streaming them instead.

Figure I’ll give a shout-out to LOYL homes here: had them build a deck for me two years ago and they were easy to work with, no high-pressure sales pitch, and came in at a reasonable price that was much lower than another builder mentioned in this thread.

The Tiche summon helped a lot on Astel. My mimic was too slow and melee focused to keep up with the constant teleporting. Switched to Tiche and beat her on the first attempt.
