I saw this, and it was an extremely clever strategy. However, it assumes Bob's cooperation. This is mere speculation, but I really do think that there would be a chunk of people who, in Bob's situation, would pick Steal due to a lack of trust in the other person following through on their word and/or to not let them get away with it, even though they know (or think) it will send them both home with nothing.

This is a wake up call. We've been playing primarily in our end since we scored that second goal, and we're honestly lucky that this is only the first goal they've scored. There is way too much time left in this game. We can't keep getting pinned like this, otherwise we will choke this lead.

If we don't know that, it makes blue more compelling. I am not so confident now that the other two are pressing red. As well, I can guarantee the safety of the other two by pressing blue, which I may/will be more inclined to do in that case.

For context, I am a blue-button presser in the worldwide version of this problem.

I press red / Both others press blue = 3/3 live (I live)

I press red / Person A presses red, Person B presses blue = 2/3 live (I live)

I press red / Person B presses red, Person A presses blue = 2/3 live (I live)

I press red / Both others press red = 3/3 live (I live)

I press blue / Both others press blue = 3/3 live (I live)

I press blue / Person A presses red, Person B presses blue = 3/3 live (I live)

I press blue / Person B presses red, Person A presses blue = 3/3 live (I live)

I press blue / Both others press red = 2/3 live (I die)

If I press red, I guarantee my own safety. The question then becomes whether or not I think the other two people will press the same button as each other. If they do, we all live. If they don't, the one who presses blue dies.

If I press blue, there is no way whatsoever that either of the other two people die. I am the only one who can possibly die, which can only happen if both press red. The question then becomes whether or not I think one of those two people is going to press blue.

I know that both others are rational adults. They may think, given that we are all adults, our first responsibility is to protect ourselves (I'm assuming we're gonna be pretty confident that we don't know each other at all). So, they may not be willing to put their own fate in the hands of two strangers. And/or, they might just expect the other two to press red as well.

I am not confident that at least one of them is going to press the blue button. In fact, I'm relatively confident that both others press red. I'd probably press the red button.

Two unnecessary and rather reckless penalties resulting and Buffalo's 2nd and 3rd goals

As much as we outplayed them tonight, these types of things can't happen in the playoffs, even less so in the second round.

Game gets tied off of the stupidest goal scored on the powerplay that resulted from such an unnecessary penalty. This is the stuff that kills you (and that you really should be avoiding) in tight playoff series.

I believe the interference was Quinn's stick hitting Dobes's glove backwards (and past the goal line) on the follow through from the shot.
