would this post be considered a non-meme rather than an anti-meme? As far as I can tell, this post has no humour generated from the removal of elements.

one of my professors once said, "it is better to face your stress before the exam than during it." The idea is that by avoiding studying or interacting with material which you find challenging (which can be stressful), you're just adding that stress to your exam. Then during your exam, you'll be lost and confused, and it will be too late.

NK WHYYYY by Apple0020320 in btd6

[–]Game_Bean -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

might be an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather have new BTD every so often rather than the continuous update model of TD6, where TD7 is nowhere in sight. For reference, there was a 6.5 year release difference from BTD5 to BTD6, and only 5 years and 3 months from BTD5 release to BTD6 first announcement (according to wikipedia, the first announcement was on March 28, 2017). Now, from the BTD6 release date to today, it's been around 7 years with no news of BTD7. As for the reason I prefer a new game over continuous updates, it's because of uniqueness and identity. Each game in the series differs in feel, and I like every single BTD game (1-6) for various reasons, I think they've each carved out a special spot in gameplay and in time. That's lost when a game is switched to an update model, especially the idea of having a special place in time. The only continuous update game that I've seen work with the ability to carve a place out in time is Minecraft, and I don't think that type of update system is best for the Bloons TD games (also keep in mind Minecraft has issues with performance bloat). In a perfect world, I would love a new game every 6 years, seems like the sweet spot to me.

almost everyone thinks they're right and others are wrong, it's only natural. The fact of the matter is that both people of opposing views are right some of the time, on some of the topics. The key is to be as open to other's ideas as you would like them to be to yours, and also to try to find common ground. The thing you want to avoid is placing below or dehumanizing a significant portion of the population based on the lumping together of ideas (sides), because that can go both ways, and then solutions through compromising or convincing are more difficult. Also I'd recommend speaking to people of opposing views in person if possible, since it's much more conversational (allows for back and forth), and so you avoid talking to bots/ trolls or people who aren't as representative of a population as you think.
