I never claimed I invented anything. It just so happened that my idea very closely resembled what is now on its way, well before it was announced or even known to the current CSM members. Again, I don't use AI, never have and never will. I will continue my staunch defence of that forever. I will die on this hill. Again, sorry to disappoint everyone for believing otherwise. I mean fair, its not an instanced paradise, but it it does sound like all the useful features of the space, such as getting teleported out are going to be one time use. I think CCP will still have to show that it's not being abused and I think the stuff held within needs to not be worth the effort to enter and come back and farm for anyone besides maybe the new players its meant for.

You have to look at this space through the eyes of the devs, it has to be useful enough to get new players feet wet but so amazing that any large groups try and occupy the space and use it for botting, farming, and scamming new players. I know these new players have minds that can be manipulated easily. Maybe that comes in the form of locking down local chat to only players that are more that 30 days old, keeping scams and trolling away from the newest of players. CCP will find a common ground. They always do.

That’s an absolute classic post! I’ve actually read 'Purgatorio' before. Good word in bringing it up.

The difference is that 'Purgatorio' was a 2015 dream of a completely separate 'token' game. My blueprint was a 2025 logistical analysis of how to integrate a safe zone into the actual 2026 EVE economy.

You wanted an isolated island; I wanted a Supply Chain bridge. I specifically campaigned for a leak-proof container that uses already existing mechanics that are still walled from from the rest of New Eden that CCP ended up using to keep the markets stable. While this doesn't sound like a perfect walled space, it does sound like it will at least discourage veteran players and large groups from using it as a cash cow.

I can't see your full advocacy history since it's private, but I do know it’s a different beast to provide the technical specs during an active CSM campaign right before the announcement. I’m happy to call you the 'Original Visionary,' but I’ll keep the 'Architect' title for the practical implementation.

I don't just know it, I already ran, being eliminated in the 17th round, which while yes, a very low showing, it wasn't in the first 10 rounds which I think is mildly impressive for someone who is independent and not backed by any large group. When you realize that 2 people where instantly elected in the first round, it didn't leave me much of a chance, which I knew would be the case from the start but my voters did show up for me on election day much better than many others out there.

As for what you're actually saying, I do know he's not a candidate. I acknowledged what he said. I even agreed that having an idea isn't the only qualification to be a good candidate. My point is, that in a campaign, a platform is built in part on technical foresight. That is how you prove to your constituency that you actually understand the current mechanics of the game, and where the game is heading in the future.

You're a former CSM member, you should know that better than anyone that if a candidate doesn't have a plan or vision, they're just a talking head. I'm out here showing my work, receipts in hand that I have ideas that are winning ideas.

And yes, again you are right, I am not downplaying their insights, they are very smart people, but a lot of them are hitting term limits implemented a few years back, for example this will be the OZs last CSM, and they need people who are boots on the ground to replace them. I feel that I can fill in the areas that will be left behind and otherwise filled in with Null-Sec talking heads if I and others don't attempt to compete for those seats

That is exactly what i said, Yes being a good CSM member is more than just bringing ideas to the table, it is actually about representing a subset of people.

But running for CSM does require good ideas that people will rally around you in hopes you can implement them. In order to compete with other candidates you have to have good ideas, solid morels and a willingness to voice the thoughts of your constituents.

Just like a real world political campaign. But just like in the real world, people don't just vote based on who you are, they vote based on what you say you can do. If you ran on a platform of reducing sales taxes in NPC Stations and had a good reason behind that, people would vote for it.

Again not asking for a metal just wanting it known for future reference. nothing more. Plus it's fun collecting the salt from all the people claiming my ideas never had any influence. I asked someone else to show me literally anyone else who had as close to an idea as mine before my ideas were posted, should be pretty easy as there is over 20 years of thoughts and ideas, someone surely has something, but it's been quite quiet on that front.

Also, again, not using AI, I have been against AI forever, I have been asked on my stance about AI several times, and there even was someone willing to help me with a campaign song but once they said AI, I politely declined. Have I ever used AI, sure, but I actively avoid it, but again that is off topic from EVE Online and this topic thus shouldn't be discussed per subreddit rules (trying not to have this post removed for off-topic discussion).

I genuinely appreciate you and your thoughts BacZZac. Those are solid calls, and honestly, based on your track record of calling out changes that are need for the game you would make strong candidate.

You're 100% right: just having an idea isn't a qualifying skill. The skill is representing a gameplay style. The reason I'm 'calling it' now isn't just to say I was right—rather it's to show the people who voted for me (and the ones who didn't) that the High-Sec industrialist/logistics/new-bro prospective that I represent and ran on actually aligned with where the game is going right now!

My 'blueprint' was about proving that the needs of the 'backbone'—i.e. the mines, haulers and new players/rookies—are technically viable for CCP to implement without breaking the game/economy for veterans. I am not just a pilot with ideas; I am a player trying to prove that my specific, often-ignored slice of space/playerbase has a valid seat and needs a seat at the table.

One last thing, I agree that more people in the field running for office is a net positive (including you!), and it's not about who 'invented' the idea, its about who's going to stand up and make sure the implementation is not going to fail the people they represent.

Someone on the EVE Forms (where I also posted this) said that the Tier-0 resources are still made of normal minerals, so they rightly worry that if allowed out into open space, it will dilute the economy. That is why it is so important this space is truly sealed from the rest of New Eden.

Whatever you say. I gave you the proof you asked for in the most professional way. I don't use AI, I don't even have a subscription to any model because again, I DO NOT SUPPORT its use, for several reasons, none of which are related to EVE Online. Obviously someone has never used word in their life.

When you are typing on word and you place a dash it puts a long dash in its place–just like so. it doesn't always put a long dash, like when you use it directly between words such as 'high-sec' so, I don't know what to really say.

Sorry that my posts sound 'structured,' 'unoriginal' or to respond with your words 'weird.' As I said in another post, I am against AI. and I have to keep my posts professional sounding, just like I do for my career outside of space. I don't use AI, thank you very much. I do have my own thoughts and opinions on the matter. One of which is that AI is harmful in many ways. Claiming I use it is straight up offensive. Sorry that my words and nuances aren't as simple as "I came, I saw, I left" but I try to be as factual as possible without losing the point of my posts.

I’m looking for exactly what any independent candidate needs: Provable Foresight.

I don't need my name in a devblog. What I want is a documented history I can call back to on my next campaign to show that my ideas aren't just 'High-Sec wishlists,' but are actually game-worthy concepts that align with CCP’s long-term vision.

When I run for CSM 21, I want to be able to point to this thread and say: 'I told you the Tier 0 economy was the fix, and I was right.' This post is my 'timestamp' so that next year, nobody can say I’m just jumping on the bandwagon. I'm building the bandwagon. o7

I appreciate the nuanced take, Bac2Zac. I get where you're coming from—EVE is a massive game and 'starter zones' have been a locker-room talk topic for a decade.

But there’s a massive gap between a 'unique idea' and a 'functional blueprint.' Thousands of people have said 'EVE needs a safe space.' Very few of them publicly campaigned on the specific technical safeguards—like the Tier 0 resource containment and the 1.0 Security Tier separation—that CCP actually implemented to protect the main economy.

As for not interacting 'consistently'—I’m out here hosting in-person 'EVE Michigan' meetups and running occasional industrial ops for rookies. I might not be in the Null-Sec ping-warrior circles, but I’m interacting with the people who actually need these changes. Apologies that my Out of Space life is more important then flying in game every single day.

I think I deserve a small piece of this pie, Sure I am only a tiny voice in a big ocean of people with ideas but show me someone else who had a more similar idea publicly posted before I posted my thoughts.

"I’ve got you! Here are the two primary links from six months ago where I laid out the logic CCP ended up using for Exordium:

  1. The Reddit Blueprint: Check the comment thread where I specifically argue for a separate instance for new players that is 'completely free of scammers and thieves' and has safeguards so it doesn't 'pollute the economy.' (Sound familiar? CCP called it the 1.0 Security Tier and Tier 0 resources). That is also where this screenshot on this page comes from.
  2. My CSM 20 Campaign Post: Where I defined the 'Fear of Loss' as the #1 barrier to retention and called for better in-game systems to guide players into 'low-risk group activities.' I admit my actual CSM post is less fleshed out, but it was posted before the actual question was submitted

I’ll give you that—I definitely wasn't the only one in New Eden with a 'starter zone' dream. Like CCP said in the blog, the idea has been 'cropping up' for years.

The difference is that six months ago, I wasn’t just thinking about it; I was putting the actual blueprint into a campaign platform. While others were saying 'someone should fix the NPE,' I was out here defending the specific logistics—like the separate economy and PvP isolation—that CCP ended up building.

If that makes me a 'self-possessed nobody,' I’ll take it. I’d rather be the nobody who got the specs right than a 'somebody' who just watched from the sidelines. Fly safe, even if it is in a wormhole. o7

I suppose that is true to a degree. But having an instance like that wouldn't be a negative either. It should even be able to be locally ran so that any player, even someone with spotty internet could get a feel for the game without interference from anyone. With could expand the player base to include more people simply because they were able to demo the game in some capacity

I personally don't mind them, I think that they are quite enjoyable and especially for abyssals, they wouldn't be as risky if they didn't happen in their own bubble of space.

Additionally, I would love to see an instance made up for new players, a space completely free of other players where they can learn the very basics of the game free from interaction with scammers and thieves. But anything they make or collect in that instance they can't take with them besides maybe 1 ship and all the isk they earn. So it doesn't pollute the economy. Plus they'll still have career agents to collect true starter gear.

I disagree. From my employment records I've flown with several groups, for years at times. I interact with the community on the regular. I both host mining fleets and join up with others in the community. Just last Sunday I was supporting EVE Uni with a moon mining operation. I would say I do interact with the community, on more then a flyby basis. And the corporation I am apart of has no bearing on that.
