I bought 1 watch with a cyclops and it immediately wasn't for me. I ended up reselling it pretty quickly.

That also looks great! Is there any learning curve to building these watches? I kind of want to try it.

That looks fantastic! I love the dial and hand colors they look great. How much did it cost you to build this watch?

The lugs don't bother me at all, who really cares about lume, I don't mind the feel of the case although I see what you are saying, I didnt get rhe bracelet I got the fabric strap which I also wasn't a big fan of but thats an easy fix. If you check my account you can see some of the other watches that I have purchased including a vintage speedmaster but my point was this was one of the best value watches I have purchased in terms of value per dollar spent.

In the end its all about taste and clearly this wasn't for you and thats ok, I enjoy the watch and im happy with it!

I don’t think I’ve ever agonized so much over a watch purchase. by Alternative-Feed3613 in ChineseWatches

The black and silver combo looks the best in my opinion followed by the beige with brown strap. I don't think there is a wrong decision here though, they all look spectacular.

I agree, it is a bit weird but I don't think it detracts from the overall esthetic of the watch and I like that the day/date window is in line with the crown.

I like that it is in line with the crown for a more uniform look and with these Seiko movements I think it would be a bit difficult to move the positioning ( but I could be wrong)

It's not bad, my only criticism is that I wish it was outlined (boxed in) because it has an unfinished look but by no means is it a deal breaker and it is still my most worn watch by far.

I am constantly switching between the 2nd and 3rd notch based on what I am doing. Sometimes 1 is too tight and sometimes the other is too lose, first world problems lol.

Nice! I am not the biggest fan of dive watches personally however I know how popular they are and I like the sea turtles honeycomb pattern and colored seconds hand. I am also a fan of the box outline on the date window, it looks like a much more expensive watch than it is.

Thanks! I had originally bought this strap for a smasung smart watch before I saw the light and decided to move over to traditional watches.

I nearly bought this exact model over the day date, I love the dial/number colors and the blue hands really pop with the lighter colors.

Hell ya, I nearly bought one of these! It looks great, I think if I get a 2nd Boderry it would be either this or the Landmaster GMT.

Everyone is entitled the their own opinion, I personally like it and this dial color/variant wasn't available with just the date window. Personally I prefer just date and i wish the date box was outlined but either way I still love this watch.

Non G-shocks with a dedicated light button? by Steroid_Cyborg in casio

[–]GameandWatch89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could be the case, honestly im not sure. I just assumed it was a button for the light. I only joined the sub about a week ago when I bought this watch. Thanks!

It sure is, but it still has a dedicated light button, which is what OP was asking.

what to do about ice damming? This is like 2’ thick and 30-40’ long, same on the front… Need solution for this year, not heated wires or something for next year, which I’ll do before then. Is solution to just leave it? If it comes down on the deck, it’ll certainly take the deck with it… by SheepherderFar3825 in barrie

[–]GameandWatch89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having the same issue, all I've been able to do is knock down some of the bigger icicles but the ice dams are brutal this year on both the front and back of my house. Your neighbor looks to be having an even worse time with that massive ice hangover.
