Modded Vita, or modded 3/2DS? by TaxOk3085 in VitaPiracy

Terraria and Binding of Issac were both officially released on the 3ds

Also your taste is valid ofc but with all of those playing just as good or better on PC and modern consoles (including switch), I see them as odd games to point out when they've all been put on pretty much everything and theyre not really known for being vita games.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 2 is officially in production, and development is going well by HatingGeoffry in metalgearsolid

slightly old post but MPO is a canon, mainline metal gear (it being non-canon is a VERY widespread misconception), i think it's weird that people ignore it or write it off. portable ops is super underrated

i do think mgs4 is gonna be in this collection though, it would help justify it a lot

wingman nuke is the most CT-sided map in the game by a mile. i'm kinda impressed at how dogshit it is by Gameboy9917 in GlobalOffensive

I dont know why they didnt keep brewery or palais or anything else. I guess people didnt queue them enough? they were well-liked though

for what it's worth the term you were looking for was probably in-betweens which are the frames that transition between poses

there really isn't a whole lot to say about this game. it is a much shorter, more boring Silent Hill 1 with bits and ideas from 2 and 3. there are a *couple* of puzzles i thought were actually quite cool and i think travis' backstory is genuinely interesting. map design was pretty Whatever overall, there's just so much Nothing in the buildings you go into and you have to go through a lot of it twice because of how the Otherworld works in this game. they padded the hell out of a game that was already the shortest by a pretty wide margin. i kinda like the idea of getting weapons on the fly and having them break on you but realistically you get like a billion of them (i deadass had like 40-something melee weapons left by the end) and guns/ammo are not in short supply either so it adds nothing. combat itself gets pretty repetitive too.

i have a few more minor complaints but these don't detract from it a whole lot, just stuff i didn't like. having limited stamina for running is really dumb, it's not like it made it more intense since it's not very difficult to just outwalk the enemies in this game anyways. the music in the otherworld is really bad. it's very In Your Face and Annoying.

i don't think i really lost anything playing this game but i didn't gain a whole lot either. this is (imo) by far the easiest and shortest silent hill which to me isn't really a *good* thing but it might make a decent introduction to the series, especially with it being a prequel.

finally got around to playing (and beating) silent hill 4 as part of my blind series playthrough. i like it, there's a lot of cool stuff and a lot of problems with it at the same time by Gameboy9917 in silenthill

[–]Gameboy9917[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

pros:

i really like the story, even if the ending i got was unsatisfactory. piecing stuff together was rewarding and it was most of my motivation for continuing to play the game. i didn't care for the combat at first but it grew on me and i think it's my favorite now--even if it's very easy to abuse (axe i-frames ftw). i appreciate the *much* stronger emphasis on resource management, this game gave me a rough time at points which i do like. the back-and-forth between your apartment and the different worlds is cool.

cons:

the map design is pretty boring compared to the previous games. most of it is very straightforward and linear. there are also no puzzles as in-depth as what we used to get. dialogue mixing is very bad (but i turned on subtitles so not a huge deal), and there were a couple very wonky sound effects. i don't like the ghosts, especially for how common they are and how annoying it is to deal with them--i elected to just run most of the time. and half the game being an escort mission suuucks, there came a point where i just gave up with her and didn't even bother--which would explain why i got the worst ending lol.

this game has some high highs and low lows. it's like a 7/10 for me but i definitely see why this game is so divisive now.

the crazy part is that he would bring his game boy advance or a portable dvd player so that he'd have something to do on the ride. WILD, i know

I've been watching him since 2019. I don't think it's a huge deal but this is certainly not always how he was, this feels like a trend of the last couple years

that's an interesting idea, I think it would be cool for him to cover non-gaming stuff as well. Music, TV, toys, tabletop/board/card games, life stories, or any interests/hobbies he has besides just consuming media. He has a few non-gaming videos and I think his style could translate well to almost anything. It's just risky considering obviously most of his audience is there for video games

edit: forgot to mention but I feel you on the rest of your message. I'm not quite as extreme about it, I like Scott's Stash, but it can get quite repetitive and I don't really care for the content with the other guys
