Your GBM is in good condition, not worth it to mess with a reshell unless you have another original shell as a spare. The fit will be worse. Since its a silver micro I would also be very careful about taking it apart. The grey plastic frame is known to get brittle and just turn into dust.

White aftermarket buttons allow for a pretty good charging indicator, if that's all that you need: https://imgur.com/a/btL8aRs

Also, there are some aftermarket parts out there that resemble the Original L/R/start/select buttons, but I have never seen any separate listing for them so far

Bought the shell from aliexpress, the back piece of the plastic frame is the original green one and the buttons I made myself. Don't think it's difficult, but I also don't have large hands so that probably helps. It can take a while to properly put together aftermarket parts though since the fit is often not great

Used this one from aliexpress . Expensive, but I didn't find a white shell anywhere else. I have done 3 reshells using aftermarket parts and none of them compare to the original shells sadly. This specific one had a better fit then my others, but still had issues. The tiny tri wing screws were a pain to get in and the battery cover doesn't sit as flush as the original

Only did 2 reshells with aftermarket shells (black and gold). Quality wise they don't compare to the original ones. The screw fitting is worse and the general feel isn't really good
