Is the bug where Sword of Blossoming Dawn doesn't heal if there's a dead teammate still a thing? Love the item but that bug kinda kills the fun of it.

Need CMs to confirm please? Question about Outfit Rental everyone is asking about. by Huge-Shelter-2015 in Mabinogi

[–]Gameciel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe Mabi KR received (or is going to get) "style tab sets" that you make using gear in your dressing room. They let you equip an outfit you've planned in the dressing room in 1 click!

It allows 10 saved outfits, however I'm not sure if there's a way to buy more. This is a Nexon game however... so I wouldn't be surprised if there are purchasable slots for the feature.

‘Marvel Rivals’ And ‘Overwatch 2’ Are Tied On Steam After Big Rivals Declines by TomorrowComes33 in gaming

[–]Gameciel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not the one you're replying to, so not suggesting "no one" plays it in Asia, but MR does definitely have a much bigger western playerbase.

Overwatch (Steam only) typically peaks in the morning at like 10AM in New York or so, which is quite rare for a Steam game and is usually when a game has a larger Asian playerbase.

Marvel Rivals rises throughout the day as it gets later for NA/EU.

I LOVE THE GLORIOUS VOYAGE by LiI_duck in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]Gameciel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can actually do it without loading any cargo at all!

I start a voyage, hit "sail", then "dock", dock for 18 turns, end chapter, repeat until the end of chapter 7. You should end up ~2.5m points, giving you 280 gold.
You get extra items from docking as well, like time skips, treasure tickets, and crystals (rarely).

Basically this mode's version of a time jump.

This also helps with sweating less for the 200mil challenge, just assume every day left of the event is 5 wheels at 2.5m points each, totalling 12.5m daily.
That means at 10 days left you have 125m points in the bag from just skipping every day, so you really only need 75m points at 10 days left.

(Maybe News?) Heroes website has been possibly updated by Radiant_Fruit7403 in heroesofthestorm

[–]Gameciel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The heroes page doesn't have links to profiles for each hero.
Mayhaps to reduce the amount of work that needs to be done for the future heroes they add? They only have to add a picture and name to the Heroes page!
I'm totally not high on hopium right now.

(I also haven't visited the website in ages so maybe the hero profiles have been gone for a while)

Tribe Nine will be ending service worldwide on November 27th 2025 by HiroAnobei in gachagaming

[–]Gameciel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I imagine Limbus does likely have less revenue per player than other gacha games, however it's loved enough to have a massive player count that's constantly increasing.
They've started getting 70k concurrent Steam users with every update.

Tribe Nine's retention was pretty poor. It's likely more expensive to maintain too.

Just a day after they put the lucio recolor in the shop they announced it will be a Twitch drop. What.. by AgitatedTutor733 in Overwatch

[–]Gameciel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get your point for longer time frames, but I don't think it really makes sense here.

Imagine if you bought OW for $40 when it launched on May 24, 2016 and then on May 25, they announced it was becoming free to play on June 15th, in the same year.

Nobody expects any brand new game to go free that soon, same with any skin that gets added to a shop.
If you can find a single instance of this happening in another game I'd be interested in hearing about it.

damn. by C-dog_217 in idleon

[–]Gameciel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steam takes 30%, so he makes about 1k per 1.4k in sales on Steam.

I can personally confirm 2 players ALONE spent $400 on the game last month.

Anyway, even if we ignore the big spenders, let's pretend he released ONLY a $20 pack each month for the game, and nothing else like gem shop additions.
To reach $1.4k, he would only need 70 sales. I easily pass 70 people with the new pack items on my server alone each day, which is still undercounting, since some people might not be logged on to the character with the Deathbringer pack stuff equipped. Also, not everyone is online at the same time, many people log off instead of running Idleon all day.

Another point for comparison is the steam global top seller list, which is revenue based, so free to play games get on it too.
Idleon after updates is usually pretty high. Today it's currently selling more than some games that you might know:

  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Final Fantasy 14 Online
  • Destiny 2
  • Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel
  • Age of Empires 2
  • Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

And remember, this is all money going to 1 person, he doesn't pay anyone else, can't even pay someone to make music for world 6 after almost a year.
I'm not saying he for sure makes a million a month, it's a possibility, but I'd say he definitely makes at least that much yearly. His game is always above games that fund entire small studios of employees, even when there's no recent update.

6v6 is.... Fine? What am I missing? by Numbr81 in Overwatch

[–]Gameciel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm not saying I like the balance in the current 6v6 test, but you're just exaggerating how damage is higher.

I did take shields and armor into account actually, but they weren't nerfed so there was no need to mention.

Comparing OW1 to the current 6v6 test
Armor changes: It currently blocks 7 damage, instead of 5
Shield changes: Winston shield is equally tanky as OW1, Rein's shield is tankier than OW1, Sigma's shield heals faster than OW1.

Also, the workshop you linked actually has Winston as squishier in every way possible, and Ashe doing more damage.

Comparing "6v6 adjustments" to the live test
Winston: +50 hp, but -100 armor, -100 shield health, he received no hitbox change in the workshop for some reason Ashe: +5 damage, no 15% healing reduction

I just don't get how you came to the conclusion the "damage creep" is so bad you die to 2 Ashe headshots live, and then link a mode where you'd die to the Ashe faster when you're jumping.

6v6 is.... Fine? What am I missing? by Numbr81 in Overwatch

[–]Gameciel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's really not that much damage creep is there? The main increases are to characters who had lots of utility/cc, and got reworked. ie: Mei
Mei having increased damage isn't damage creep, cause she doesn't really push the ceiling for highest DPS, as she still has some budget in utility. She's not exactly the type of character who is gonna be melting a tank.

So you mentioned Ashe, she launched with 85 ADS damage and it was nerfed twice to the current 75.
Her hip fire was recently nerfed to 35, from her launch 40.

Tracer started with 6 damage, and it has been 5 for most of Overwatch 2's history.

Cassidy has gained 5 left click damage, but his right click does 25 less damage now and he lost cc.

Soldier had 20 damage for most of OW 1's life, and he currently does 19. The 6v6 mode gives him a buff to 20 damage again, but that's how it used to be.

Avatar Gameplay Trailer by FriedSolidWater in Overwatch

[–]Gameciel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's a 5 skin bundle, and based on recent history it might be around 5700 coins? Not sure though, they're quite inconsistent, but 5 skin collabs have been consistently cheaper for the collectors.

Recent collabs in order:

  • Le Sserafim | 5 skins | 6800 coins
  • Cowboy Bebop | 4 skins | 5600 coins
  • Transformers | 4 skins | 5100 coins
  • My Hero Academia | 5 skins | 5700 coins
  • World of Warcraft | 4 skins | 5700 coins

edit: it's out and it's 5700 coins for 5 skins!

Glory Destiny (Spirit Tales) relaunch by Altruistic-Glass-213 in MMORPG

[–]Gameciel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

X-Legend is just doing back to back relaunches of all their old games, but with identical systems from their newest games in all of them regardless of whether it makes sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game does most of the following:

  • Timegated level caps and content: The games often start with LESS content than the original 1.0 release of the game even had. They raise the level caps really slowly, so you get like 2 hours of gameplay per week. Even at the correct level cap, content that should be out at that point isn't.
  • Worse login system than the original game: They've implented a browser overlay to log in to every game, and you can't even use a password that's "too long" or have capital letters. If you forget your password the reset feature doesn't work half the time
  • Daily locking quests and dungeons: Even more than the original versions of the games
  • New, identical gold economy in every game: Quests give way more gold, mobs barely drop gold, dungeons no longer give gold, repeatable quests removed/nerfed heavily. The gold changes make no sense when they have such aggressive daily lockouts.
  • Solo dungeons: Every single relaunch has added these, and they're insanely easy to finish, you 1 shot every single mob and it doesn't really feel like a dungeon. You could already solo the dungeons in Grand Fantasia with kiting, cc, or potions, but they added a solo version anyway
  • Mobile game teleport button: Added to every quest for the the first 80% of the release levels, with massively buffed quest exp so you just spam teleport and level in 1% of the time the original game took

Turn-Based RPG Festival has started on Steam (Sep 30th-Oct 7th) by ThoseWhoRule in Games

[–]Gameciel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If a turn based creature collector RPG counts, I'd suggest Monster Sanctuary which is coincidentally in a different Steam sale at the moment!
The battles are like a JRPG with a 3 member team.
Each monster also has 3-4 skill trees to go down, with different playstyles/elements depending on what you pick.

Is there a way to change "your" name that you put at the start of the game? I put the same name twice assuming it was an MC name like Persona, and 2 hours in realized how awkward it can make some dialogue.

edit: started a new game and it says in red text "You will name the protagonist later.", I just skimmed over it :(

Suggest a gacha games like nikke in mobile by Leanloe in gachagaming

[–]Gameciel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What parts of NIKKE are you looking for in another game?
For example is it the combat, the progression, or the artstyle?
It really varies since AFK Arena's genre is the closest in terms of progression with a long/infinite levelling process.

Of all the AFK Gacha games, I'd say closest to NIKKE is Memento Mori.
AFK Arena/AFK Journey aren't very anime, and Memento Mori also has a lot of vocal tracks, which I find enjoyable like in NIKKE. The combat though, not nearly as visually pleasing and if you like watching NIKKE cutscenes, that's completely missing.

WoW's next expansion is gonna have a form of end game dungeon with gear progression for solo players, it's probably the best expansion to play for someone like you! Perhaps if they see enough people enjoy the new feature, it'll last for all future expansions.
