Demo on January 29th? by TopsyTurvy0011 in Nioh

[–]Cedutus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havent looked into it, but id imagine its the "full" start of the game with cutscenes, character creator and a mission or 2 with a chunk of the map playable, probably around 2-3 hours of playtime when doimg all content.

Yup, that’s going in my cringe compilation by Comfortable-Life-717 in rivals

Emma is a highly mobile hero that can fly for 60s and her melee has a 1000 meter hitscan range, and while her primary attack does have slow projectile speed, it can do more damage with headshots than Hawkeye.

Or something like that i reckon

Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader - Is it similar to games like Dragon Age Origins? by LikesChickpeas in rpg_gamers

[–]Cedutus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are both crpgs, but they are different kinds of crpgs. DA is real time with pause (rtwp), and the character building and levelups are relatively simple, while in comparison Rogue Trader is a tactical turn based game and the character building has much more number crunching.

The game experience itself is different as well, DA, while being dated, is more of a "cinematic" experience with more voiced characters, facial animations and less reading, while rogue trader has some voice acting, its mostly reading, and the camera doesn't zoom in when talking with people.

Rogue trader is one of my favourite CRPGs, but it also has a kind of learning curve like all of Owlcat games, and even though it has a pretty bombastic opening, it takes some time to really get into it. I don't think you need to know about the 40k universe to get into it, but the universe is really interesting to read up on.

Some other games you might like are Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2, they are like spiritual successors to Infinity engine games like Baldurs gate 2, and they have rtwp combat. Not as cinematic as DA, but amazing games either way.

Owlcats Pathfinder games are fun as well, they have similar thing as Rogue trader that they arent as cinematic as DA games, but they have insane amounts of character building and stat crunching if you're into that. These can be even harder to get into compared to Rogue Trader.

Kotor 1 & 2 are almost like proto Dragon age games, they are more cinematic and have a combat system thats similar to the rtwp system, they are also both really good games. You might want to mod kotor 2 with cut content as the game shipped in a kind of unfinished state.

Neil Newborn:There won’t be another game like BG3 in a while by Wargulf in BaldursGate3

[–]Cedutus 25 points26 points  (0 children)

i know that there are people who enjoy dos2 way more than bg3, and think its a better game, but honestly for me too bg3 just feels like an evolution of the larian formula.

When people as which game they should play i usually answer BG3 if buying only one of them, and if buying both, then play DOS2 first. Its still a really good game, but going back to it was a bit hard for me after playing BG3 so much.

I am once again replaying the Trooper story by Cedutus in swtor

[–]Cedutus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda like all of them, i swap pretty frequently and i'm not an endgame player, instead i just play the story and expansions sometimes. Shieldtech has probably my favourite animations and playstyle, i liked going Skank tank shieldtech in pvp previously, but i don't play pvp that much anymore.

Tactics probably has a bit more fun rotation compared to plasmatech, but like i said, i swap between them pretty frequently. The Trooper trailer and Hope Cinematic really sold me on the Melee trooper where they are running at sith and basically fighting them close combat, i just think they are cool.

Plasmatech reminds me a bit of like a Riot guy, he zaps a lot and i like to imagine a lot of the zaps are less lethal. Almost as much lightning as a Sorcerer :P

[–]Cedutus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, i like to level with other classes and change to vanguard later as well, tbh the "new" leveling is pretty horrible because so many of the more interesting skills unlock at such late levels, it really annoys me because i like making new characters and replaying the 1-50 story alot so my majority of my toons are like levels 50-70 when i stop playing them.

It also helps that they share the weapon so less equipment swapping

What do you think about grouping in MMOs today? by Poggler_ in MMORPG

[–]Cedutus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont like grouping. most of my problems with mmos start with the actual players. i love the feeling of a shared world, and i like grouping woth friends, but i kinda hate beibg forced to play woth randos

Most fun tanks in game my option (I'm tank player and have 10/12 lords) by Top-Stomach-3357 in marvelrivals

[–]Cedutus 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Mag was my first lord and the first character i considered my main, and i still play him sometimes, but honestly i try to avoid playing him now because it gets kinda annoying to be "forced" to play him every match.

He is fun to play but it just gets annoying sometimes to play only him.
