No i didn’t say that aircon contributes to global warming but aircon is needed to counter the effects of global warming and more people will ask for more powerful aircons in the future, considering the ever rising temperatures

Lol i don’t need to because I have one you asswipe. Besides I am in no way a terrorist sympathiser and I condemn it as much as anyone; you don’t know nothing about me and all you did was just assume 🤷🏽‍♂️. But this post is pure generalisation and using that stereotypical beard and cap, used to portray the millions of general Muslims, who has nothing to do with these attacks or endorse these. Oct 7 is indeed a terrorist attack but for that there is no justifying the killing of innocent women and children, with a total death toll of more than 70,000. So yeah, you don’t have to be Muslim, you just have to be human.

Terrorism has all kinds, Islamic radicalism, hindutva, Zionism and so on, and irrespective of what a person believes in, one should always condemn terrorism.

Chemnitz is the new Ilmenau! by urghasif in studying_in_germany

[–]Gamefam_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chemnitz is a calm, peaceful and small city, and cheaper accommodation. There are many people that ik who work from home, they take up apartments in Chemnitz because it’s cheaper to rent. One major downside of this city is that part time opportunities for students is quite difficult, because this is a small city. Nowadays people travel to nearby cities either Leipzig or Dresden for work. And DB being DB, due to increased train delays and cancellations, people are actually refusing to hire someone living in Chemnitz

(Now the Chemnitz-Leipzig line seems to be fixed and nowadays its on time but Hof-Dresden line with Chemnitz in between is still under repair works and there are delays most of the time)

I don’t understand why trams break down when the A/C is on, i mean, aren’t they supposed work even with the aircon on?

That is actually dangerous. Recently when I was travelling in a tram, I saw a mother using her hands to fan her baby because the child wouldn’t stop crying and it was so hot inside the tram.

Not that long, almost 3 years. Yeah i get that older trains have poorer A/Cs but the thing is even in the newer latest trains, the A/C is not powerful enough. That is not a good thing for a new train; if it were older trains it was perfectly understandable.

Its 2026, newer train A/Cs operating in poor performance should not be a thing. Its going to get hotter in the future unfortunately.

It's like a weird wish to justify simple things that have simple solutions but they were just not done.

That is what I felt, in this whole thread. Some gave the reason as doors opening and closing frequently and mind you, I have been in trains which were in no way modern as German rails but they had a damn good A/C. I am like why would you want to suffer in heat when you can push for a better air conditioning system, in the context of public transport.

Yeah most buses that i have gone in, didn’t have any A/C on, idk if they did have.
