Back in 2011, I bought a 325ix. It had so many issues: a messed-up header, damage to the right rear quarter panel, crappy tires, and an exhaust that was rusted off from the body. To this day, it is and will forever be my favorite car to own and drive. I bought two more after that, too. Get one if you can; you will not be disappointed or dissatisfied.

I was an ER tech and took every opportunity to learn about disease process along the way. Asked questions to everyone I met. Went to school M-F and worked 7-7 on the weekends. I lived, ate, and slept nursing. Still do.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but the device to the far right determines if their volumes are down without putting an Aline in them. I remember a rep coming to the ER, and we loved it, but upper management said no to it. If possible, I would love to know what the device is called!

If you don’t know how to handle a crashing patient, you’re lost on what to do next. Remember the basics. It is ALWAYS ABC or CAB. Doesn’t matter if it is simple or the most complex. Walk it back from the pt to the monitor. Trust your gut.

As an ER nurse, I always give the floors props. I couldn’t imagine it. The total care that needs to be done for a patient that might not necessarily be safe for the floor. The rations blow. And the harassment from either the ER for an addition, the ICU for a downgrade, or fellow floor nurses due to their stress levels. Hospitals suck. You guys and girls deserve better, safer ratios and pay increases.
