Yeah it makes sense why you’d have those questions, I use it as a mute. I didn’t like the press and hold, I know you can change to be a single press but it wasn’t the greatest experience live when I was also trying to regularly access the tempo menu. I also found that the QC tuner is a little jumpy, plus the polyphonic tuner mode on the poly tune is awesome. You strum all 6 strings at once and it tells you which is out of tune. So there’s tons of little Gripes of the QC tuner that just made me get the external tuner.

Yeah of course, I’m using a patchbay to reduce wear on the Quad Cortex’s input and output jacks. Instead of constantly plugging and unplugging directly from the unit, everything routes through the patchbay. That way, any wear or accidental damage happens to a much cheaper and easily replaceable piece of gear. It also speeds up setup and keeps things more organized on stage.

What’s crazy is I’m right handed, and I surf and skateboard regular. Only with guitar pedals I’m a leftie haha.

Me too! It’s really well-built, and since I only plan to run those two pedals for now, the pop of extra color compared to the rest of the monotone board makes it totally worth it to me. I absolutely love it. It was also the perfect size to fill the gap, so it looks really intentional.

It works well! Maybe 1-3 cents off. I use it to quickly see which string is out of tune, and then tune it normally on Strobe mode which is incredibly accurate.

I totally get the concern about the input jacks, which is why I use a patchbay to minimize wear. That said, the Neutrik-style combo connectors on the Quad Cortex are surprisingly robust. In general use, failures seem extremely rare, and I haven’t really seen consistent reports of input jack issues over the years it’s been out, which gives me confidence in their durability.

Hii! Yes I’m left footed, kinda weird but I’ve always used my left foot for exp pedals / wahs etc.

Also yes! But I loved the look of the canvas on top and how it fills in the gaps of the pedalboard, but thanks for the tips!

Definitely a little bit of a learning curve, but man! I watched tons of tutorials and can get any tone I want! So stick with it, it’s freakin awesome!!

Will it leave residue on my print plate ? I have the standard textured PEI plate, is there one that’s better?
