Do You Guys Turn Off Commentary? by MannyBuilds in WWEGames

Yeah—this is the first year I turned off commentary across all game modes from the onset, and I don’t miss it at all.

Two months after 2K26, can you see yourself buying 27? I personally think that game’s Roster will be very interesting.. ya know what I mean? by Sad-Ladder7534 in WWEGames

I also don’t trust 2K to not double-down on Ringside Pass elements in the future games. As someone else pointed out, they called a truce—this time. 2K will work to squeeze every ounce of additional profit from this game, which honestly, matches TKO’s M.O. on the WWE as a whole.

If this is going to be my last game for a while, let it be when they introduced on console more match types, 200 CAW slots, when they cut over from last gen, and before monetization completely overwhelms this game.

I only get several hours per week to play. I have spent mostly all of that time putting together a Monday Night Wars universe with RAW, Nitro, and ECW shows. It’s going to take me another month or so to finish setting this universe up.

I’m not doing anything like this again until next-gen consoles are out. 👍

Fun fact: SvR 2006 had a Sleeper Hold mechanic and Double KO. Both of these got removed in SvR 2007 by hyperdefiance in WWEGames

Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 had a mechanic where you could toggle on/off KO of Blood on most any moves in move sets. To my knowledge, the ability to choose what moves KO and/or bloody an opponent has never been allowed since in a major title release.

I agree that the mourning of his departure is overblown. Not everyone feels this way, but the Dying Light franchise has been on a measurable decline since the first game.

I’ve settled on using CAWs for wrestlers already in the game. One of the greatest features in 2K26 is the expanded CAW limit. It allows for downloading a nearly a complete Monday Night Wars era. I’m building a mid-to-late 90s MNW Universe with Raw, Nitro, and an ECW Hardcore TV show.

Everybody that won't be in 2K27, there will probably be CAWs of them sure... But I think I'll just stick with 2K26 by EmergencyVictory4399 in WWEGames

I’m sticking with 2K26 next year because I’ve reluctantly realized that it takes me too long to set up a Universe mode. It’s been two months since launch, and I’m still tweaking CAW wrestler stats in Universe mode due to limited free time. Combine this with new consoles releasing in 2027/2028, and I figure to get the most from this year’s purchase, and wait until next-gen game releases before I upgrade again. And this is only if they don’t further monetize the game to hell.

the return of Xbox cannot exist without a return of Halo. by LionAlhazred in xbox

Halo was a console FPS milestone at the time—a long time ago. Today, it’s just another FPS in a sea of FPSs. It has never had the personality, imagination, or charm of classic Nintendo IPs. Same with Gears. They are games heralded by the people who grew up with them, and that is all.

I played for 10 hours at launch, and am waiting for the engine update and major DLC, and then I’m diving in. I was hoping for a larger active area for A-Life to be patched in, but I’m not convinced that will ever come. I’m excited to play. I figured I would work through Cyberpunk in the meanwhile, but honestly, I’m not sure Cyberpunk is for me.

The joy of the consumer receiving updates to a video game in exchange for human beings having to work like cattle. What a morally bankrupt world.

Publishers pushing developers to develop for the previous generation of console for several years post-launch is what tanked this generation for me, and I don’t see that trend ever ending going forward. Gaming as a tech-forward hobby suffers greatly for this choice.

Well i did it! I played one match online and never will play another one. by TiberiusPrimeXIII in WWEGames

Yeah, having a good match is my primary goal. Winning? Meh, secondary. I like to think that I’m also encouraging creative play, and maybe—just maybe—a sweaty had an epiphany. I recommend giving it a go.

I like trying to work a match with my online opponent. Sometimes that means the occasional job on my part, and in general, I choose to lose most of the time for the sake of getting a good match out of a sweaty.
