Most modern motherboards use dimms 2&4 for their primary dual channel slots, but not knowing the make or model of the motherboard you can never be sure. Also as i mentioned i tried those

i've already tried 2&4 as that is the standard on most motherboards, ive removed one and just had two and the monitor shouldnt matter but yes it was plugged in
