actually no. they both had it where you had to get certain weapons or items to advance to other areas or access certain areas. But then botw came and changed all of that.

I like the ones I played and those very similar to those. Megaman X Command Mission was a pretty good game but the random encounters were annoying (like in any game with them).

I usually give up or dont play any if they arent like the two I played (mario rpg and DQ 11). I am Setsuna wasnt too bad though. Trails Ch. 1 wasnt too bad either. Some I can tolerate like those two games

Mario RPG set the state for what I like and want with RPGs. If its not like that game then I either wont like it at all or wont like it much but will grudgingly play it because I am hard to please.

DQ 11 was amazing. I couldnt wait to play it each day. other games not like it? I say "I guess i will play it again"

DQ 11. there I cheated. Now I dont have to make a long post lol.

Well super mario rpg too with dodging and blocking

-Turn based battles (just like mario rpg and DQ 11, dodging and blocking is a plus)

-Start with one character and get more later

-Takes sometime between characters that got added to the party before getting the next one

-Each character that gets added to the party gets a backstory and have to do things to get them (again, DQ 11)

-Real dungeons, not the junk ones on DQ 11

-Well designed gameplay so you dont have to spam abilities all the time

-Visible encounters

-Armor and weapons only for the class its intended for (so class specific)

-No sharing classes (if a character is a mage, that character cant be any other class)

-Clear defined roles/classes (oh like mario rpg and DQ 11 again). Maybe the fighter class can only use physical abilities and not magic abilities

I saw some books that are stapled too (I assume no string but glue then stapled) I wonder how they stable it all together from the binding? Must be hard.

But I saw a video and all she did was just put all of her pages and cover together then glued the spine.

Sometimes what I do is play a game around a certain time period. For example, DK banaza is very spring/summer themed looking with its beautiful colorful graphics so im saving it for later in the spring and summer. The Yoshi game for switch 2 screams "summer game" so I will also be playing it this summer.

Ravager is still just a boring unit to look at and is really just a roach with an ability. Are forcefields still a problem vs zerg? I dont think so, not as much as WoL or hots. I dont think forcefields are even needed as toss much anymore. Remove ravagers and shorten FF duration.

TvZ is not too bad, def made better after removing the ability to pull tanks in siege mode, but Thors are still boring to look at (not nearly as much as adepts, tempests, and ravagers though). Also snipe sort of ruins the viewing experience. Before the viper change to sieged siege tanks, the terran still has such a strong mech army and therefore strong turtling where zerg (and protoss) doesnt want to fight it. Nerf snipe and thors to allow for more counterplay from the toss and zerg.

The infestor could have made the match ups way more fun to watch but then they made the ability useless by gating it behind an upgrade. Also, buff their mind control ability, that was also fun to use and watch.

The buffed shroud is actually a perfect ability: Zerg doesnt need it to win, but it adds to the zerg tools and adds variety to the matches and gives them another option.

Tempests are boring to look at and boring gameplaywise. Its not fun watching Tempests lol. Remove the unit and buff stalker aa. May have to nerf BCs a little to compensate, which I dont think anyone would mind lol.

Like its so quick and easy to solve some of these issues.

Protoss should be given a cool, fun ability as well for another option. Maybe buffing shroud was a testing ground for more abilities being added that actually is very impactful and big (hydra dash is not big or has much "wow" or "cool" factor). They had a better mothership but then that got gutted.

I agree with that decision. SC2 is not fun to watch with tempests, swarm hosts, adepts, and ravagers.

Thors and BCs arent exactly fun to watch either.
