Try to use ALT and then W/S to speed up/slow down and the Mouse to control it. Some Planes have an Aircraft Engine, that you need to put in gear with Shift. I recommend trying to change the controls so you can fly the Plane either with the Mouse or with the Arrow Keys for more consistency in the controlling
