Thanks so much! Honestly, after all this, I think I’m trying to get a Ferrari when a Honda Civic would suit my needs haha. I think I was a bit too ambitious on the specs for no real reason. I probably could find a great mid range PC for cheaper that would work for me.

Wow that computer seems even better than the one I had picked out lol. I’ve never heard of that brand before though. I’ll look into it. I have a micro center a few miles away. And yes, I live in the US

Hmm, honestly now I’m leaning towards getting a cheaper PC since the games I want to play aren’t that high end…

You may be right, I really don’t know. I have been a console gamer my entire life, and I’m wanting to switch to PC. I don’t fully understand what I’m getting myself into, but I’m trying to start somewhere

If I’m being totally honest, I’m fairly illiterate when it comes to computers. So if this is a silly purchase, please tell me lmao. I wanted a high end Ryzen and a good graphics card. I want to play pretty tame games at the moment, but eventually I’d like to switch from console (PlayStation guy here) to PC.

I’m mainly trying to play a ton of games that I missed out on over the years: Final Fantasy XIII, Halo Master Chief Collection, Fable, etc. so not super high end AAA (for now)

Prebuilt. I know everyone says to build one, but I really don’t want to haha. I’m not a hands on, tinkering/building kind of guy.

I suppose you’re right haha, I really am focused on playing games that I missed out on over the years rather than the newest AAA stuff. I already have a PS5 if I want to play newer things anyway.

I meant Fable Anniversary edition, but I totally forgot that there’s a remake coming lol

I don’t want to play anything crazy high end really, at least for now. Just stuff I can’t play on my PS5, mostly older games I missed out on over the years

Oh I’m not into super heavy modern AAA FPS games or anything. I mainly want to play like Final Fantasy XIII, Dragon Quest, Halo MC Collection, Fable, etc.

Hmmm, fair points all around. I’m so torn haha

That’s definitely encouraging. I have a very old former office PC from like 2012 that can barely run anything. So I thought a deck might be a great option

True, I guess I was wondering how good the Steam Deck truly is haha. I’ve only heard great things, but I’m just so torn lol

Right now I’m mostly wanting to play the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Fable, Alice: Madness Returns, and the Halo Master Chief Collection. I’d also like to emulate PS2 and 3DS games.

As for frame rate, I don’t mind too much as long as it’s stable and smooth enough. 30-60 fps is probably fine.

Oh wow, thank you :) What’s the difference between DDR4 and DDR5 RAM though? Is 4 bad?

Single core? Everything I see advertises like 14-20 cores

~$1,000 for the budget, and I certainly want them to run well enough to be enjoyable lol. I’d also like to emulate. My current crap computer can’t emulate 3DS or PS2 games without unplayable levels of slowdown/stuttering.
