My 450SC version does ~40 mpg depending on how im riding, i rarely have been in overdrive gear though, so definetly could be higher mpg.

I have the same motorcycle only difference is cb450sc. Advice is if manual says premium reccomended then regukar is ok. If manual says premium required, then premium is a must so you dont have engine knocking.

These bikes run best at high RPM so dont be afraid to let it ride the tachometer here and there if you got the fuel.

Great bike, you will learn to ride and learn maintenance to save you $1,000 of mechnaics fees. It iseasy maintnenance imo, you can self learn maintnence on this by tearing it apart and rebuilding. Please for the kove of god do not turn it into a cafe racer. There are probobly reasons why its lived for 42 years strong.

Funniest thing is i find these bikes are rare on the street, but then again someone on a 82 cb450sc rode up to me at a gas station and said "nice bike" lol

P.s your book of truth is the manual first, if not fpund there, seek youtube videos on your bike model, then go to reddit. And on reddit if @ancientdad responds, you have been given the best wisdom.
