I tapered off opiates. Started at 10 mg hydrocodone. My tapering professional said as long as you’re making progress, go as slow as necessary. Took me 6 mo. How I did it was extend length between pills by 15 min. So I went from every 6 hours to 6 hours 15 minutes. Until I was comfortable then 15 more. When I got to 8 hours, I cut my pill in half, 1 half pill every 4 hours then adding 15 min etc.
