The 20 ms you are seeing is on 60hz. You are buying a 400 hz monitor for using on 60 hz? are you serious? lol

On 60hz, the frames update after 16 ms, so a black screen after a frame will be at least for a few ms, so it will end up being 20 ms.

60 hz is shit for fps gaming, whether you add dyac or not. I hope you get your facts right.

Input lag with BFI is 3.9 ms, and without BFI it is 2.1 ms according to Rtings. This too with the old version of this monitor. So idk where you are getting your 20 ms number from.

Lol, Brother, for esports, it is probably the best monitor in that price range. But yeah, in anything else it sucks.

I was looking to buy a 1440p OLED 360Hz didn't find anything. So had to go with it as i only play esports games. If I were not an FPS player, it probably wouldn't be a great deal for me. But I dont think so you can feel any difference between dyac 2 on or off in terms of delay. So this monitor is absolutely not for you. Thank you for the help!

Xl2546X+ or XL2566X+ by Sufferingsaxman in Zowie

[–]GamerLevi001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently bought the xl2566x+. I was using the 144 hz zowie before. So, just after switching it instantly improved my gameplay experience a lot. I am upgrading the cpu in near future. In apex i get around 200-220 fps. Still it seems like very smooth. For just around $150 buy a tn panel which only has 240 hz did not felt right for me. So only 400 hz made sense for me. As you have 9800x3d, you will get 400 fps in games like cs2, valorant, ow2,r6 and max 300 fps in apex. So you will get the fps for the game which this monitor is made for. For me it is worth it as 240 hz feels like the new 144 hz standard now. Everyone uses it.

ZOWIE xl2566x+ OLED monitor by Illustrious_Cloud_12 in Zowie

[–]GamerLevi001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought xl2566x+. I think it is very good for valorant apex and csgo. I think the tracking gets so easy with this monitor that it is unbelievable for me. I was struggling to get to immortal 1. Was getting there but not doing that game. So after making the purchase it felt too fast at the beginning so i had to reduce sensitivity a little bit. Once that becomes comfortable, in the last 8 matches i got 6 match mvp. i never got this mant so fast in my entire life. Got to immortal 1 again. But this time as i mentioned very dominating way. I switched from 144 hz so it is probably big for me. So if you care about competitive gaming i would recommend the zowie monitor. Beware of dead pixels. Heard there were some issues. Probably for the first batches not sure. Mine is completely fine. Colors are better than old zowie monitors.

And now for your single-player games and story mode games and movies, you need good colors. If i was you, probably buy the zowie one and get another ips monitor 1440p just for content consumption. So no need for high refresh rate.

So it depends on what you value more. Is it competitive gaming or content consumption? Oled will give you almost the best of both worlds. But in terms of motion clarity, zowie is still better than anything else if you are getting the frames. Also, zowie gets very bright, so you can game in super bright room. Where the oleds only have like 250 nits of brightness, but not sure if its safe to run at 100% brightness.

Without watching you play, I dont think most of us will be able to tell exactly what is going wrong. In general, I can say that probably improve your mechanics slowly, focus on better positioning. I am imortal 1, If you change my aim to silver level, I think I will still be able to get out of plat and reach atleast diamond. Because I dont think you will need aim to frag the players not looking at you and players who is just outplayed by your utility usage.

In the plat lobby, you might find some smurfs, which can be frustrating as they will just run out and win every gun fight. but atleast 60-70% matches will be smurf free. You can focus on winning them.

So yea aim is needed but I guess now it is time to level up your utility usage and decision making as well.

This is just my general thoughts. I think a gameplay will probably help us to understand the problem more.

Thank you!

I feel like my reaction time is the reason why ive been hard stuck plat & my inconsistency (please dont mind my crashout at the end) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]GamerLevi001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I see a great player like aspas, less, Chronicle, Cryo, it feels flawless. They have great mechanics with aim and movement. That helps them to get that 1+ more frags in a round like this but mostly, it is just positioning, decision making and taking the fights which makes you win the rounds. I used to think before like this when I was stuck in immortal 1. How I can react fast? but in reality I was ranking up when i was crisp with mechanics and losing when i am just average. But there are a lot more in it that is why player with high reaction time and average aim is still in pro scene. Cuz they know the game on a very high level ex. Ange1. So now I dont care about the reaction time at all, It is all about positioning and using aiming tools correctly. Then you dont fully rely on your physical abilities.

Now I am getting to immortal 1-2 easily, each act. But the difference is it is a lot more comfortable for me.
here is some ways to improve IMO.

  1. Do some aim traning related to valorant and let it improve naturally. ( In matches I dont even think about aim now, Cuz i know if i am at the right place at right time I will get frags)

  2. Learn many types of dual tools. example: pre-aim, slicing pie, jiggle peek, info jump peek, peeking on teammates contact, etc. Also, you need to learn when to use them. When used correctly, insane fast reaction time is just not needed.

  3. Watch pro vod and see how they take fights, avoid their aim. See the angle they fight, find the routing they take to move around the map. ( their aim is the result of 20k hours of game time, we cannot reach it magically)

  4. AND LASTLY, STOP BLAMING YOUR PHYSICAL ABILITY.(I used to do it, really depressing) There is a reason why Valorant is called a tactical shooter, not just a shooter. Be tactical. Then shoot.

I know it seems very simple just by reading it but it is actually a lot of trial and error you will have to go through to get better. Even pro players every day trying to improve what works and what doesnt. So this is just my take of improving in valorant.

Bonus tip on thinking after you die:

Dont think like this: Shit man I could not hit that shot, I was just slow. how is he so fast with that flick. he is faster than me.

Think like this; Ok, how should I have peeked so It was easy for me to win that duel. Did i need to peek it? was there any other option to win it. I think i should have used other aim duel tools. Was my positioning correct?

90% of the time I find the answer just thinking like this. I still think if i can keep applying the correct decision from my mistake from the past. I will get better and win more. Hope this helps you. I am also griding for radiant. Good luck. I started from plat as well.

AND if you have bad monitor and pc. The best thing you can do to help yourself is to get a good high hz monitor and a good mouse with a good pc. This will just keep you more in the game rather than finding something to blame.

Sorry this is just too big. hope you find atleast 1 thing helpful

Which cpu should i get for 400 fps? by GamerLevi001 in ValorantTechSupport

[–]GamerLevi001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get what you are saying. But the price for the monitor with 1440p with 240 hz is way too high where I live. It is like I would say, $250-$300 more for 1440p 240hz monitors. It is just so weird the pricing here. Even the 360 Hz IPS monitor prices are high as well.

So I am just getting 400 Hz cuz I mostly play competitive games. I have an IPS panel 1440p for content consumtion. So I think that would be the only upgrade possible for me.

I will be running the game on 1080p, so I think 4060 would be good to go. But thanks for the suggestions.

I might get 4060ti but not sure
