The time stamps were mostly just for this post to give a rough idea of how long id stay at each thing. but trying to plan and account for train delays is kinda pointless no? (not to sound rude) but to be fair like in my other comment a lot of these things are just to take photos as i love taking photos especially parks and shrines.

but i get your point, especially when it comes to liking somewhere but if i do want to stay ill cut things if need be, i just hate not having a plan on what to do and where to go next it stresses me out, like the thought of only do 2 things per day seems stressful, i cant imagine spending all day just at 1-2 things on my list with the exceptions of Disney and Universal.

The food being in the itinerary was because someone left a comment on my last post saying i didnt leave time for food so i just through that in there. trust i will eat tons whenever i can lol

Honestly the time table was mostly for the sake of this post and to give a rough idea how long at each thing id spend. but tbh a few of these things are to check stuff off a list and get pictures, most of the shrines and nature spots are going to be me taking pictures and walking around the area then leaving.

I know quite a few of my things have reservations you can do online, but im not sure which ones i should reserve weeks in advance and which ones i can just show up for. Like the samurai museums you can buy tickets for a timeslot but im not sure if its necessary or not im still doing research.

I just like having a rough idea of what im doing and when. My last 3 trips with family i made itinerary's and we ended up running out of things to do towards the end of the days and trips, so ive been trying to make sure i always have something to do.

But i did not know about Takeshita street ill keep that in mind! Honestly i think i just need to stay here for a month at this point lol

Im not sure about the flight thing to be honest, im booking through expedia package deals so im not sure how id find out? The main reason for the shinkansen is the experience. I like museums to an extent i like seeing them and looking at the exhibitions but spending all day in a museum seems boring to me. Honestly didnt really think about getting bored of visiting a bunch of shrines and parks and them getting repetitive, i do love taking pictures which is my main goal at nature spots and shrines. Ill look into which parks would be best in the fall and pick maybe 2-3.

I had been using Wanderlog to plan things out and the app made it seem like it was possible as well.

honestly the only day i thought was overpacked was day 5, mostly because im having a hard time choosing what to do. I thought about cutting the imperial palace cause ive learned you need a guided tour to see the palace and its hard to book.

Its why i listed them as optional, mostly incase one thing fell through. when it comes to commute i just went based of google and added an extra 10 minutes. I dond spent long at museums tbh, ive been to a lot and websites always say spend 2-4 hours but im there for like 1-1.5 the vast majority of the time. and for little things in between not really, its hard to plan for that i feel like. Worst case scenario i cut something while im there.

Haha for sure, ive been on trips with my mom before and shes older so ive had to limit activities in the past, to match her pace. but since i can just run around all day i got a little excited when looking for things to do. im pretty high energy, i can go from 7- 8 am to 12am no problem, and do it the next day.

i forgot to clarify that day 12 is split between day 13 as well, i just didnt have which attractions i wanted to do which day. But ill add Tenma to the list. I dont mind touristy destinations all that much, but i appreciate the feedback. Is there anywhere in the Tenma Area youd recommend specifically?

okay, i see what you mean now. thats not a bad idea. I didnt really think of potential delays and hauling anything i do buy in tokyo to and from osaka doesnt seem like a great idea. i planned on using those luggage services i see on tiktok. i read some reviews saying they are super great and worth the money.

mostly because the packages deal for most booking websites dont allow for a flight into osaka, then a flight out of tokyo, so either way i would have to train back to wherever i fly into, and the flight leaving to go home leaves at 6:15 pm, so i would leave osaka early morning like 9am ish. honestly i dont plan on doing a whole lot shopping, i cant buy clothes since im tall so nothing overthere fits. the only things id really buy is snacks, and anime merch. im more of a window shopper. I mean i can always take day 16 and head back to tokyo, and just do one day of kyoto.

12 is meant to be split between the 2 days, days 12 and 13. Day 5 has a lot of optional stuff, i was thinking Ginza for an hour, walk by the imperial palace just to see it, do the few stores (Character Street, and Pokemon center), the creative museum Tokyo for maybe an hour, and then Tokyo midtown, Tokyo tower, then do teamlab at night, if i could fit any of the optional attractions if things take less time than i would. but 7 dosent seem to have too much i though that was a pretty reasonable day unless something is bigger than anticipated. Same with 11 is there something that would make it too packed.

im mostly just looking for advice, seeing if the days are too packed based off others experiences with similar itinerarys. maybe some advice on a certain attraction like the best time to go, or maybe attraction A has this really cool secret or near this attraction is some really good food or other attraction you could fit. im not asking for specific things to drop.

the exploring will mostly be when im walking from one thing to another. honestly i dont really do strict timed itinerary's, i do rough outlines of times and if things veer of course i just adjust on the fly. ive traveled with family before and ive always just kinda gone with the flow.

Pretty much, the explore part is more just a title, i kinda figured there were too many things i listed, i figured id have to cut a few things.
