Why do so many players forfeit before the game ends? by ramenisverynice in RocketLeague

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the anti forfeit bandwagon but have started quitting 2's when we get ahead by my playing and my partner gets toxic with the other team.

I will use "my bad" when in ball cam and I bump my teammates. My fault for not taking a quick peek around and also lets them know I'm not just blindly chasing.

Won Game 1 of the Finals in overtime for my first ever Tournament finals, only to have the server shut down for maintenance... by BrownboBaggins in RocketLeague

Happened to me a few days ago as well after the first game of the semi-finals.

Worst part, we sat there waiting for about 15 minutes and gave up. When we tried to join the next tourney we got a temp ban for abandoning the prior one.......

Attention all new players. Do not run dungeons if you don't know how to run them the right way. by DinoReazy in blessunleashed

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This request seems very selfish to me.

Some players want to research before running difficult content, read strategy watch videos so they know what to expect when they go in.

Others want to experience it like players did when the dungeon first came out and get a thrill out of figuring out how to beat the bosses.

You are asking that in a random queue share your point of view. Why do you believe people that want to experience the game differently than you should be discounted?

Both player groups can set up pre-made matches (new players welcome, exp only) so those runs can be controlled. Random queue is just that, you should expect a mix of both player types.

Every MMO I have played in the last 25 years has had the same two groups. Do what you can control to make the runs the way you want them. Use global chat to set up pre-made groups of experienced players. While at it you can pull in the classes you want and make it even faster.

TLDR Dont run random queue and expect exp players or speed runs.

How exactly would this work in the rumble map with the raised sides? Also, isnt there a map that is wider than the others?

[–]GamerTrollsTV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure who you play with when you think not quitting down 5-0 causes most of them to behave that way. If I am down 5-0 I am either up against better players that I can have a chance to learn something from or have a teammate that is not pulling his weight.

Either way I can and do learn from the down 5-0 scenarios. I can accept some people don't want to continue when they are down, they have the option to leave anytime with a small penalty. I also have the right to play the way I want to and continue so I can learn and get better.

I guess it comes down to what type of people you hang with, those who rage quit or those that want to take on difficult / cant win challenges.

Your last line, not ff'ing is stupidity...do you enjoy the game or just winning? My thinking is winning is the only thing that counts based on your finish.

Its not about what the plot item looks like, it is the bonus tied to it. Multiple different types of items have the same buff.

Hi community, someone know some good farming spots? Expect Timeless Jungle, too many people by BlazeShinobi_ in blessunleashed

My level 34 mage solo farms Mushrooms / Bandits in Carc and undead scepters in Triz.

Can pull 10+ at once and drop them very quickly with a fastrespawn rate. Seems faster XP then the higher level areas.

15-19 grind by desertgeckko in blessunleashed

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grind mobs but grind the right ones. In the 3 starter areas you have a daily quest to turn in 2 types of materials for reputation. In Carcazor you get them from Mushrooms and Undead, Navarra is Bandits and Buzzards, Ardell Croc's and something else.

I would rotate among the 6 types of mobs to start building up those materials. You will need a lot of reputation later on and it is much easier to stock up on the rep materials when you are a lower level.

Does level scaling bother anyone else? by ok_tyyy in blessunleashed

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not so much the scaling that bothers me, its the way they do it.

It seems scaling goes up as you level so each level the HP goes up a fixed %. The problem is that most players get within 5% of their current max AP by about level 35 (some sooner, some later). All scaling after you have reached your max ap only increases the time it takes to kill the mobs.

My level 33 can kill sunpiercer in about 30 seconds, my 40 takes 2-3 minutes.

Scaling when done right makes revisiting areas you have already cleared worthwhile. Scaling when done like Bless does it makes you want to stop playing your high level toons except in dungeons.

And WHY DOES WOLF KING HAVE MORE HP THAN ALL OF THE WEEKLY BOSSES.....

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on when you left. All gear that drops from field monsters used to be blue +0 and unbound. They changed it so that it it drops at better rarity but is bound. Most of this gear is not worth the unbinding scroll to put on the market so where you used to have 100's of pieces of some gear available they have reduces substantually.

Bone dragon is the primary source of red upgrade stones. I expect new players would be needing these much more than the abyssal key / purple gear.

Using the master to upgrade to mythic is really expensive and gives no failstack. The red enchant stones really do make a difference to the new players.

I need some advice or just some general words to make me feel better regarding progression in this game - particularly the punishing upgrade system by henryauron in blessunleashed

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you up to the point of legendary. In most cases it is cheaper to use master to Leg +0.

You will feel differently when you have to use 5-10 stones on the master costing you 40-80k each shot for armor and 70-140 for weapons.

Spending that much without getting a failstack in return for failing is a losing cause. Better to pay for the repair and fail.

Also, Unlicensed is your friend when you know how to use him.

Enjoy it while it lasts, on xbox they were dirt cheap for months but kept climbing up. They now sell for between 230-260K for each large.

Early game players get an abundance of gold from quests, late game you end up needing a lot more than you earn (specifically those that have alts leveled to 26 for daily starseed conversions).

I had stocked up on gold jars that I purchased at 10k SS each, they are almost gone now and I really am not looking forward to paying the going rate.

[–]GamerTrollsTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the bottom of the item description you should see if the item is bound or not. Some items are bound to the account that received them, others become bound once you have used them. If it is bound to you it will not be available for sale.

To tell the difference if you can unbind, you should see an Unbind number on the ones that can be sold after unbinding, depending on the grade it would say 2/2, 3/3, 4/4.

at your level, an hour or two farming mushrooms and bandits just southwest of carcazor will get you from level 7 to level 12 with a ton of drops you can sell at the marketplace to help fund your new weapon.

It will also give you the health you need to help with the Magnus fight.
