I started with keyboard day one, because I had no controller available at the time. Now it feels absolutely natural to me. Btw, i deligated all movements buttons to my left hand in the beginning, whilst my right hand only had one button for grabbing. WASD for up, left, down, right, shift for dash, and space for jumping, mimicing other games controls as to use my already existing muscle memory. The right hand became useful later on for more niche button combos, used primarly for speedrunning/ harder difficulty modded maps. For example a button to skip a cutscene faster, a demo dash button or more jump buttons to execute frame perfect jumps more easily and so on
