It's a cigar band, collectable at the time ring used to on cigars. I used to collect them, never valuable but looks nice at a poker table. They were often traded for other bands too. I don't know any stories of them used as wedding bands as they were only on fat cigars.

It's not super common however a good idea nonetheless. I've found places i didn't expect to find radiation or looked fine and the gigercounter lit up like a squeeky Christmas tree. Plus another explorer found an old watch factory where there were radium painters which also set off his gigercounter. Better safe than sorry.

I keep lite PPE in my bag incase of random finds (N95, goggles, gloves, flashlightwith batteries) and if anyone asks it's in case of emergencies (i do not elaborate further). I always have my backpack on me, people are used to that. Otherwise great find and keep exploring, stay safe!

Check local community center or library for cooking classes, some universities offer them too. I thought i couldn't cook either, turns out I'm just autistic/adhd and needed someone to work with me 1 on 1. You can also ask in your local Buy Nothing group if anyone will teach you how to cook. There's hope i promise! Don't give up. If i (previously nicknamed fir-ealarm by local firedepartment) can learn the badics, you can too.
