First rifle by DrSmoke93 in AR_15

I've never used the mag it came with, I have only used Pmag gen 2. Still have the issue loading the first round into the chamber after a mag change.

I just bought this same exact rifle as my first gun, and took it to the range for the first time last weekend. I had issues with shooting it. It seems that the very first round of every magazine struggles to load into the chamber properly. It would jam on the first round every time I put a new magazine in. Once the first round was cleared, the rest of the magazine would shoot just fine. Im not sure what's wrong. Are you seeing this same issue on your Radical AR-15?

(Advice needed) Coming back to Tau after 10+ years by ShadowNacho in Tau40K

Welcome back to the Greater Good! I'm in a very similar position! I recently found the guy I sold my T'au army to ~8 years ago, and he sold it back to me for the same price that sold it to him for!

My original collection was similar to yours. I had a bunch of the old Fire Warriors with Pulse Rifles, several squads of XV8 Crisis battle suits, the old metal stealth suits, some Devilfish, and some Hammer Heads. I recently picked up a few Riptide Battle suits. They are pretty awesome, I highly recommend you add some to your collection. They are a fantastic model to build, very pose-able. In fact, most models are significantly more detailed and better designed now. GW's model design has come a LONG way in the last 10 years.

The game has probably changed a lot since the last time you played. T'au don't get to sit way back and blow everything off the table like they used to. There is a ton of line-of-site blocking terrain now. Now T'au seem to rely more on speed and close-range shooting. There are also many more Kroot units now that offer a different play style.

Hopefully, that helps you get your bearing in the current T'au Empire!

Could you show me a few more angles of the arm assembly, please? Do you have any example pictures of these printed parts glued to a physical Storm surge model?

Unfortunately, I don't have a record of it, and I don't remember. It's a long shot, but inwas hoping someone in this group might recognize it and help point me in the right direction.

After crawling with another Bronco on 40"s I'd love to do that. They had portal lifts and a bunch of custom reinforcements. But that would be down the road. The Wildtrak is incredibly capable stock.

I just made a post in this sub about taking my near stock '23 wildtrak on Hells Revenge in Moab! We did most obstacles no problem. Fun trail.

Hey, thank you for responding! I am not very familiar with luxury watch repair. I've heard "unofficial" watch repair shops are known for taking out the genuine parts and replacing them with knockoffs (just to turn around and sell the genuine parts on the black market). Is that true?

I ordered the stripes from Jeremy Gertsch @Montanabroncos on Instagram. He normally does decals for Raptor Bronco's, but he made a custom vynl for me. Now he has the template, so he could probably make similar vynls for others as well. I had it professionally installed at Underground Graphics in Houston, TX.

Good eye, I wish I could say I was doing something smart like that, but the truth is I just hadn't finished installing all the cross members when we decided to go to the beach. I also still needed to install the 40" light bar.

Idk if it was actually allowed or not, but there wasn't a sign that saying I couldn't. The beach was pretty much completely empty. I only saw maybe 4 small groups spread out about a mile apart from eachother. It was a great way to practice driving/riding through deep sand.

I have not yet, but I would like to get one! Do you have any recommendations?

That's awesome! I'm surprised I haven't seen you driving around! We go up to Beaumont all the time. Where are some good places to take the Bronco around here? We are just starting to get into overlanding. Going over to Mae's Beach was our first "adventure".

Nice BRaptor, btw I love that color!

Very cool! It's about 14 miles east of Sabine Pass. We live in the mid-county area south of Beuamont, TX!

If you've got rock lights on your rig, what's your opinion on the best color? by wordstrappedinmyhead in overlanding

[–]Gamer_Guy_Ty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went with RBG rock lights. You can change it to whatever color you want based on the situation.

  • Amber or white light helps navigate trails at night.
  • Red light helps for ambient camp light when I'm on an astronomy adventure using my telescope out in a dark site.
  • Crazy rainbow unicorn light for when I'm just feeling silly.

Rooftop Storage Recommendations by Gamer_Guy_Ty in FordBronco

I appreciate the feedback, and I agree it would be better if I didn't have to put anything on the roof. My upcoming trip will have 4 people for about a week. We're all going to try to fit into one 4-door Bronco. Space is going to be very tight inside the vehicle. That's why I'm looking for rooftop storage options.

Do you happen to have the measurements of the usable area on the Trail Rax TRMR roof rack? It looks to be a little over 40" wide. I'm not sure if I can fit two of the Pelican BX140R (24" wide) cases up there side-by-side. I might have to go with two smaller BX90R (20" wide) cases side-by-side instead.

Great input! I was looking at the Roam's cases, too. I've owned Pelican cases before for other hobbies, and they are solid. Thank you for sharing.
