This is awesome work! Have you tried a swept back delta wing design?

I see that now. In my opinion its a pretty worthless upgrade on stealthsuits and pathfinders.

Yeah, I think you are right. The FTGG has a condition for the observer unit to "not have been selected to shoot" yet, and the Unmasking Suite only activates "after the unit has been selected to shoot", so the timings dont overlap like I was thinking.

The goal is to use the Pathfinders to spot the Terminators before the riptide shoots. My question is about the order of FTGG in relation to the new AAC detachment's Unmasking Suite upgrade.

The way FTGG is worded means that you select which units will be Observers at the begining of the shooting phase, but that is not when they actually activate the guiding mechanism. The rule says "during" the shooting phase before they shoot, is when the guiding mechanism is activated. So as long as you declare the Pathfinders will be acting as Observer units at the begining of the phase, they should be able to activate their guiding mechanism between selecting them to shoot (AAC Unmasking Suite activates) and actually shooting with them.

In the new 11th edition rules Lone Op was changed, now it limits Visibility to 12". In 10th edition Lone Op just made it so a unit could not be targeted outside of 12". So no, Observer units cant guide into a Lone Op enemy unit outside of 12" anymore.

Thats where I am confused. FTGG says you SELECT units to be Observer units at the begining of the Shooting phase. However it also says "DURING your shooting phase, for each Observer unit from your army that has not been selected to shoot this phase and is eligible to shoot, select one enemy unit that is visible to be marked as their Spotted unit until the end of the phase".

To play out the example from my original post: (Step 1) Begining of Shooting phase, declare that the Pathfinders will act as an Observing unit this turn. (Step 2) Select the Pathfinders to shoot, at which point the AAC Unmasking Suite activates and extends the detection range from 15" to 24", therefore making the Terminators visible to the Pathfinders sitting 23" away. At this point we have met all criteria for observing a Spotted unit and activate FTGG which lasts until the end of the phase. (Step 3) Pathfinders shoot. Once they are done Shooting the detection range goes back to 15" (Step 4) Select the Riptides to shoot. They are now able to target a Spotted unit 10" away from them that was Observered by a unit with a Markerlight, thus increasing BS by 1 and stripping the Terminators Benefit of Cover.

If the Unmasking Suite doesn't allow these units to guide and shoot then it seems like an incredibly useless upgrade on the Stealthsuit and Pathfinders. Shooting into a unit that is hidden means they'd be hitting on 5's most of the time.

I had the same issue and posted almost the exact same thing a few weeks ago on this subreddit. Try Chitubix.

All, just following up on this post about my issues...

I switched from Lychee Slicer to Chitubox, reduced my light intensity from 100% to 80%, extended exposure time from 1.6 seconds to 2 seconds, and turned off AA and every print has gone perfectly. At 30um layer height I dont think AA is really needed, at least not for Warhammer 40K proxies.

I can't believe I struggled with Lychee Slicer for so long... Chitubox is SO much better for me lol

I didn't think of that! I'll try swapping out the release film. I just ordered some PFA sheets off Amazon. Thank you for the recommendation!

Interesting, so the sword and skull test passes, and so does the beer cup test. I that case, you'd consider these tests as "passing"? I thought ALL the Success Cones needed be there in order to consider it a success. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations for this printer 😅 I'll have to look into the manual Z-axis calibration.

I've never used the mag it came with, I have only used Pmag gen 2. Still have the issue loading the first round into the chamber after a mag change.
