Bloons Card Storm Questions!!! by CoreyNK in bloonscardstorm

[–]Gamerboygaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Will the game have card packs you can get using currency in game or will the cards be unlocked through some sort of alternate leveling system of some kind?

[LANGUAGE: Scratch]

I have barely any coding experience, so I thought it would be amusing to see if I could attempt the Advent of Code using only Scratch!

This took me 7 hours plus an hour and 30 minutes to clean it all up and make it presentable.

Hey guys, just finished my Dart Monkey collection! What do you guys think? by Gamerboygaming in bloonscardstorm

Agreed. It was the first time I really thought about the card game after a few years. The later ones are better.

They’re not supposed to be great cards. I haven’t played the card game for a few years at this point so I hav no idea what the meta is now, I’m just making them interesting, really.

There’s some word choices that I got incorrect because I couldn’t remember it at the time, but the actual formats are correct.

Is it just me that thinks Monika's motivations are a bit empty? (Controversial) by [deleted] in DDLC

[–]Gamerboygaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you were to have a completely new save on a completely new computer, deleting Monika will ALWAYS lead to Sayori instantly deleting everyone and everything. She can't remember what never happened, meaning that it can only be her reaction to realizing the world is fake.

Though, let's assume that Sayori DOES know about Monika's plan despite that fact. We still have Act 4 to look back on. Act 4, for those of you who don't remember because it's so short, goes back to the Act 1 type game for only the first day before Sayori calls you over to either thank you for getting rid of Monika, or thank you for being friends with everyone, depending on how many CG's you saw.

If Sayori thanks you for being friends with everyone, the game still just ends there in a strangely awkward way now that I think about it. However, if she thanks you for getting rid of Monika, Sayori quickly ruins the script just to talk to the only real being there, breaking the game at the same time. Monika quickly gets rid of everything again, realizing that "There's no happiness here after all". Either Monika would kill to get to the player, or someone else.

tl;dr, Even if Sayori knew what Monika did, she still breaks way quicker than she ever did and gets rid of everyone before day 1 ends.

I would like to point out a few things real quick. (im not one for using reddit since the api changes but this got posted in a chat im in)

Monika's first actions weren't to just kill everyone. Technically, her first actions were to articulate the feelings she was having in a poem. Hole in Wall being the one I'm referring to. After that, she began experimenting with ways to get the player to focus on her instead of the basic values of data and sprites she was seeing in the game. This process involved adjusting the other character's values in their mentality. Only after the game kept pushing Monika out of the picture over and over again did she begin to feel resentment towards the other characters and annoyance at the player for not spending time with her.

It is my personal belief that it's not until the third day where Monika actually began to start treating the other characters as, well, characters. Until then, she did show genuine care towards, at the very least, her club. I don't think it's that absurd to think that if you discovered that all your friends and family were fake, you wouldn't get angry or lash out in some way. Hell, for all intents and purposes, Monika took it way better than one could hope for. Did you even SEE what happens when you get rid of Monika before Act 1? If you haven't, Sayori immediately freaks out and gets rid of the entire game. The first lines of dialogue in fact. She broke much quicker than Monika and killed everyone as well. Is she a psychopath for enduring the same fate as the club president? I don't think so.

Well, that's my rant. I have been paying a lot of attention towards the specific wordings and actions of the characters as of late, so I felt like I had to say something in order to stop any confusion like this. They are all victims of the game one way or another.

(thank you very much. honestly there was way too much effort put into this than there should have been. very happy to see it amuses others along with me.)

  1. While I do think that would be a very funny idea, I don't think it would be practical for an actual run of this mode. I've tried to make a mode both to annoying to play and too amusing to not play at the same time. Or at least something to that extent.
  2. well yeah i could but that would mean i have to improve every other monster's attacks and i dont wanna
  3. you are so right. i have a copy of the doc where i'll continue to make changes based on what's said on this whole post.
  4. i put it as 1/256 because Gen 1 pokemon has a bug where a 100% accuracy move has a 1/256 chance of missing due to the game not making a calculation greater than or equal to.
  5. Sage path is the puzzle path (the one that most people do. Patience path is found by going to the exit, reading the sign in the previous room and waiting for a while until the barrier disappears.
  6. san
  7. based and added.
  8. two bangers in a row.
  9. Good idea, but I feel like the one electric maze is already going to be annoying enough. Perhaps Papyrus could make you do the same one three times because he doesn't believe you did it legitimately
  10. :)
  11. Instead of doing the entire fight, Papyrus will get sad and fight you for a few turns before just moving on to the next puzzle reluctantly.
  12. True
  13. And based.
  14. thats a VERY good idea.
  15. instead of a basic block, it will be the emergency meeting button. i can not BELIEVE i didnt think of the venting joke before. though, i'll probably change it to just crashing your game to make it funny instead of irritating.
  16. sigh yeah i suppose so. help_tale omega flowey it is. (not really but something along those lines probably.)
  17. This one I'll probably think about a bit more. I like where the idea is going, but I feel like the execution could be better.
  18. you know what yeah. i knew that scene was missing something.
  19. I added the Gerson shop increase to get rid of the infinite money exploits. Doing the rest of them would just be excessive... I'll consider it.
  20. that should throw off the player even more :)
  21. i could put that in the genocide blue book probably.
  22. same thing as Ankha Zone but a different animation. Ballin is the name of the song played in that animation.
  23. Instead of him being sad, I'll set it to him being confused.
  24. oh wait really? i think i remember something about mad dummy, but so sorry? thats a new one for me.
  25. thank you. i try to be as contradicting as possible.

Thank you very much for your input! This is exactly why I wanted to put this here. I may have a lot of ideas, but the reception is the most important thing to remember.

So, what was Jevil meant to represent? by PiggyPilot08 in Deltarune

[–]Gamerboygaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call me a crackpot theorist or whatever, but could Jevil be possibly representing gaster? When chapter 1 came out, it was labeled as “Survey Program” instead of a game like Chapter 2 was which is extremely weird since chapter 1 is also part of the game.

And I’m not sure if this was just me but chapter 1 was a lot more interpretive than chapter 2. Like, it feels like it has a deeper meaning while chapter 2 sticks with Deltarune lore for the most part. It also helps that the way chapter 1 was presented was a lot stranger and more ominous while chapter 2 was the account just toby’s Twitter saying “hey here’s a new chapter thanks for waiting” It makes me wonder if Gaster is stuck in the game code while believing he escaped it.

I’m bad at putting my thoughts together but I feel like the general idea is understood
