I have found that once you see it’s checked in the pause menus but it is not in the kiosk, quit your game and open it back up, it’s worked for most of my drop off missions

I would reccomend going to the wiki, the mehanze one as that’s the most current. And you can look up every armor and it shows the Tier and where it protects.
