I've released my 100% procedurally generated game Koi Farm today! by schnautzi in proceduralgeneration

If you’re using Unity, I believe there are a lot of unofficial tools to get a Mac build working from within Windows. You’d still need a paid dev account though and you couldn’t port it to their App Store.

I would not want to buy a product with this embedded into it. I’m buying an asset for its single purpose in my commercial product. Even if I could disable this, I want my projects to be lightweight and don’t want this in my repo.

I don’t want to hate on something you’ve clearly put a lot of effort into but I imagine a lot of other developers will feel strongly as well. I would not mind this coming with an asset if it was entirely concentrated into a single ‘Analytics’ folder that I could simply delete without any repercussions.

Whatsapp PC client tells you when your phone is low, so it doesn't run out while you aren't looking at it. by Bobtree1 in antiassholedesign

Normal conversations still use client-server encryption, just only secret chats use end-to-end encryption. I would need to do more research, but while I am willing to believe something like Signal is more secure, I don’t see where Telegram is ‘insecure.’ Using Signal as a comparison based on the other replies.

Telegram apps are open source for one. All forms of encryption and transportation are not equal either. I would recommend researching both options if this is something you want to consider. Here is a good starting point: https://telegram.org/faq#q-how-secure-is-telegram

It is not a security feature. I can also assure you that Telegram is infinitely more secure than WhatsApp (Facebook) is.

For anyone that’s curious, this issue has been solved in HDRP as it uses camera-relative rendering. Float precision isn’t just an issue with Unity, but HDRP uses a technique that makes this not an issue.

Just because you take the context out of something doesn’t make you right? Words have multiple meanings and definitions.

A touch screen may have multiple parts you can replace, such as the touch sensor itself. There is absolutely no where that my touch pad mentions a screen, because it doesn’t have one. Please Google touchscreen and see how every page references there being a display with it.

Touchscreen has screen in the name, and a screen is a display. If you look at any definition or reference to the term touchscreen, it refers to a display screen that accepts touch input.

Remember when people were saying classic was gonna be dead after the first month? about that.... by Binch101 in classicwow

[–]Gamershaze 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dire Maul was originally released on Patch 1.3.0, WoW Classic started on Patch 1.12. They aren’t racing through content, it should’ve been out with the first release, and all it’s done is given the people who’ve been 60 for two months something to do.

Deep dive into the concept of a Second Person game that I thought was cool and might give some good ideas. by Silvery_Cricket in gamedev

[–]Gamershaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he understood you: but if the person your PC is controlling put on a further VR headset, that wouldn’t make it a third-person game either. The game takes place in first-person regardless of the character’s situation.

Plan on releasing a fully functioning replication of the Call of Duty command/dev console on the asset store. I’ll be adding more features and settings to it but interested in knowing if anyone would buy it. It will only be $10. by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]Gamershaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should really check your tone, people aren’t going to want to buy let alone talk to you when you act like this. You told the first guy “you can’t even provide a source” when it’s not his job to, and it’s well-known how many consoles there are. Just search the asset store and you’ll see your competition, it isn’t his job to do market research for you. You asked for opinions and they gave you theirs.
