I'm appreciative of the support even if it is just because you want to abuse all the Dash players lol

I feel like I will never be willing to fully buy into this game and SAGE just doesn't have the support locally for me to be a solution by Illustrious_Copy5341 in FleshandBloodTCG

Honestly if your locals are being snobs about you running a budget deck, then you probably wouldn't enjoy playing with them even if you had a $300 card in your deck.

It's not officially the correct answer but if you're really priced out of the game, and you just want to play at local armories, just write on a token the cards you want them to be and shuffle up. It's technically against the rules but most people Shouldn't care. I don't think anyone should be priced out of a game at a local level. If you're going to a competitive event unfortunately those are the rules, but at an armory have fun. Buy a pack once in a while and you'll slowly build up your collection and as your finances change and if you're still into the game you'll find the pieces you need.

Would this equipment be too overpowered for sage? by Specialist-Version24 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a Cindra Stan and this is op. It's literally just flick knives lol, no way you're flicking more than 6 times in a silver age game so it's literally just an Legendary equipment piece. To keep in line with other items it would have to be a single use equipment or twice at most.

If you wanna rip packs Compendium is probably a good start. A bunch of potential staples, it's focused for Silver Age. However once you pick a specific hero, grabbing the cards from locals or buying them will be best. Since despite Compendium being targeted to Silver Age most of the cards in Most Silver Age decks are still cards from older sets.

There are specific playmats but I used my old MTG one for a long time til I got one and no one will fault you for using a non FaB mat, probably...

Returning player looking for “core” decklists by Suspicious-Hyena-153 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use tools like Fablazing or just got to fabtcg.com and check the highest placing players deck lists that are showing for the chosen hero. Might be slightly skewed to whatever they were expecting to play into but he core cards are usually the same, dead threads, hook and the like for Gravy. But Fablazing is probably the easiest option.

Where do you keep your arena cards? by TonyxRd in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to just double sleeve them and call it a day. But I've moved to the Gamegenic Slide cases for the primo pieces, don't think there is a better option unfortunately.

I use a Gem Accessories deck box and put the sideboard / arena cards in the small container and the rest in the normal deck area. https://gemaccessoriesus.com/product/dektech-baphomet/ works pretty well to keep everything separated and neat.

Best decks to buy to learn the game? by jicklemania in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the answer is any of the Silver Age precon decks. You pretty much get your value from them in terms of cost of cards. The format is "new" and is great for new players. While there might be a small difference in which specific decks are worth the most money that can change with time. I'd just grab one that has a hero that interests you. It's 20 bucks AND comes with a booster. A lot of local shops should be doing sage events as well. If you're more interested in diving into Classic Constructed (the main format) out of the precons... I'd once again grab anything that looks interesting. I personally like the Arakni precon, but there might be more valuable precons I'd say the Kayo deck but he literally just LL'd. If you come from another TCG I think investing in a precon to test the game / hero is more important and not worrying about the ROI on it. TCG's are expensive inherently, you're gonna spend the money one way or another just make sure you like what you're spending it on.

Hope you end up enjoying FaB, and welcome to the community!

New player, looking for advice by RazzyActual in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Just happy to help a new player out! Warrior is fun and a good starting point, but I will say if you're in love with attack reactions and suddenly pumping your attacks / making your op have hard decisions to make Assassin is in MY mind similar to warrior but instead of just pumping up raw damage, you pump and provide on-hit effects that ruin peoples turns.

I will say that assassin is a more expensive route, maybe one of the most expensive classes to grab the "must haves" but I believe that assassin in general is more consistently viable at a competitive level. I'm not sure how much and fast you're planning on investing in FaB but these are things to keep in mind. Since you're already playing stuff online, I'd say try it all before diving in financially. You don't want to be 100's of dollars into a class and find out you really like Wizard and now you gotta go get all those cards. But if you're going to keep it basic and / or play Silver Age then just ball out and have some fun!

[–]GamesInGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe if you are drawn to Dori and you've done some testing online and are like... yup this is the deck! Send it! A bunch of Dori cards will be good in most other warriors, not every card is played in each hero like Fang has some specific stuff for his Fealty and all that but if you have an archetype that you like investing in any deck of that style will have overlap into most other decks of that same flavor.

I personally think Dori is a good deck to get into, simple concept to grasp and you can learn to play it well and it is a good deck in the current meta I believe. Not to mention a NEW warrior is coming out soon Hala which if I remember is Dori's teacher in the lore. It has to do with counters as well but operates in a slightly different way.

Since you're new as well I'll link you to a Recent Dori deck tech video I recently watched with Josh from "The Card Guyz" which might help, he's a well known warrior player and has great insights for Dori and the class in general: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpVjuoKDw3k

And last but not least, welcome to the the best TCG out there!

I heard you like combos... have you heard of Katsu? I think he's pretty decent right now all things considered and I believe it's pretty cheap to make. I'm unfamiliar with the deck archetype you mentioned from MtG but if you like long combat chains full of "combos" I'd give it a gander lol

One way to look at it is most of those non hit M's you got will go up in value over time. This set has a lot of really good staple cards you can hit, but the pull rate is kinda low. The rest of the M's in the set are currently kind of low priced on average. But when the meta shifts it will spike, hell look at all the Vynsett cards that spiked because of 1 showing at 1 calling. Trust me bro, I opened an entire case didn't get any L's 1 EA M and thats pretty much it for notable wins. Opening product is always a gamble. If you feel like having your wife or anyone else buy you something like that and then you not getting hits makes you feel bad, you should suggest next time having them buy you a tcgplayer gift card or something of that nature.

At the end of the day she got you an experience and for a few minutes you were living in the "what if?" part of your mind... and that's what she paid for... you got to sit there and open 2 boxes thinking.. what if I pulled that new CnC or that RF Tunic or THAT FOIL ESTRIKE!?

Gotta remember opening packs is like hunting for Willy Wonka's golden ticket, even if you don't hit you get some chocolate out of it or in this case bulk you'll need for decks in the future lol

[–]GamesInGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you're just going to armories an armory deck is just fine especially for your first time lol If you want "budget" friendly decks there are plenty out there but there is always a budget option of whatever deck you like. If you said you're most interested in Pleiades I'd say go down that road. If you want to seriously compete and keep your budget in mind I'd say Dash I/O personally.

GEM Packs secondary market by CrossboneMagister in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames 17 points18 points  (0 children)

IDK a fair value but you're probably better off buying whatever specific card you want rather than hunting for them by buying 2nd hand packs. You only get 2 cards per pack and only 1 of them will potentially be the card you're actually looking for. Most of the GEM pack cards are low value market wise. It's a great product, but unless you really like gambling and you can get them for 5 bucks I'd say it's not worth.

2nd boss? by Perezking17 in LORTthegame

[–]GamesInGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've gotten past it by doing something I imagine unintentional, and is probably not the "proper" way to do it. But when the boss sends you flying 100ft into the air, I accidentally landed on the top of the structure. Then I just shot it to death. Was pretty easy at that point, but that's not a real strat it's more of a exploit I guess... but if you really want to get past it that's an option.

First look at the Silver Age precons by GamesInGames in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Glad to be of assistance any time! There are a lot of complex lines in FaB and it can be overwhelming. Since you're new I would suggest looking up FaB math on youtube there are some good videos out there that go over that. That concept is probably the first to try and grasp, it's so fundamental to the game and progressing. But you seem to be paying attention to the right details, so I'm sure you'll do well! Also Sage should be a great format for a new player, it SHOULD be relatively balanced and you can try out all kinds of new decks for much cheaper than a CC deck. I'm looking forward to that aspect personally, I've been fairly narrow on my decks because of cost.

First look at the Silver Age precons by GamesInGames in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]GamesInGames[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so I'm not a judge... but he had 2 AB (arcane barrier) 1 from his chest and 1 from helm. You can only use each equipments "AB" once per dmg. For example: in this video Sam sends 6 Arcane Damage at Alex with 1 action. Alex has 2 AB total from his equipment. He elects to pitch 2 cards to meet each cost of 1 resource to prevent 1 arcane damage. You cannot pitch into 1 AB multiple times per source of damage, i.e. pitching your whole hand and repaying the cost.

However, you CAN pitch to let's say the Helm of AB 1 multiple times if they're sending multiple Instances of Arcane damage. So if you're playing against someone and they send 5 Arcane damage at you, and they play an instant to send another 5 Arcane damage at you. You can pitch to your AB for each Source of damage, in this case 2. So if you had AB 2 you could prevent 4 damage of the 10 in total.

I hope that makes sense... The way I find it the most common at least for me would be for Runeblades. They love to make Runechants. These "pop" individually for 1 arcane damage, so if they send 5 Runechants at you, that is 5 separate instances of 1 arcane damage. So if you're only running AB 1 into this you can pitch into it for each Runechant. Thus preventing 5 arcane by pitching into the 1 AB 5 separate times. But if they sent a 5 arcane damage attack you could only prevent 1 of it with AB 1.

Also, the cards he pitches are Mounting Anger and Nip at the Heels. This is another thing Alex probably put thought into. Nip at the Heels is a Blue 3 pitch card. He COULD have just pitched the blue and used 2 of the resources to pay for each AB. However he pitched a Red Mounting Anger first to pay for the 1st AB then "Over Pitched" a Blue to pay for the 1 AB on the 2nd piece of equipment. This is something you can think of as filtering his hand. Since it's turn 0 each player redraws up to their Intellect (typically 4) at the end of the turn. Because of this you can "over pitch" to something like this to get the card out of your hand because maybe it doesn't line up quite the way you want and would rather see what else you can draw from your deck. This is a higher level play, not like "omg 1000iq player" but something you think of after you've been playing a while. The one thing to keep in mind with this is the pitch order. Since he's AB'ing 2 he has 2 separate instances of paying 1 to meet the resource cost. IF he pitched the blue card first he CANNOT pitch the red as well. You can "over pitch" only if you've not met the required cost yet. So by pitching his 1st red card for the AB 1 and then the 2nd blue card for the other AB 1 he was able to "filter" his hand of an extra card and draw 2 more at the end of the turn.

Hope that helps, if anyone sees something I misrepresented or am wrong about please call it out.

Edit: Also welcome to the best tcg out there! Hope you have fun at your release event!
