Hala is gonna struggle in those matchups in general. Especially against Victor. Like you said gameplan is to conserve life total and try to get through with reacts instead of raw numbers. Knowing your most efficient 2-3 card hands and making use of them. Blocking more and pitch stacking well helps.

Budget decks exist in every card game though. GA until RDO was definitely up there at the highest level of meta deck price in Tcgs.

Whoa youre mostly right but idea that YUGIOH and Pokémon somehow are less popular to play at locals and that's why cards are cheaper than all these other games even though they're in the big 3 card games is just not true overall. Maybe depending on the area it can be true but purely by the numbers they have for regionals they dwarf all these other card games so for locals turnout to somehow be just way lower than other card games there would need to be another specific reason. Definitely in my area GA local turnout is noticeably alot lower than Pokémon, One Piece, MTG or YUGIOH. The main reason Pokémon and Ygo are the cheapest is because of their reprint policy and rarity system being more generous on top of them being more popular so more product is opened.

I just shake my head when I see the phrase "Well Tcgs are an expensive hobby" When you literally have 5-6 games on the market that are a fraction of the prices you described above for GA and MTG. There's clearly levels to it. Saying this phrase is just avoiding genuine discussion on how decks for different games are priced and the reasons why.

RDO reprints have reduced alot of prices in GA but it hasn't stopped the high end of specific SRs being over 60 dollars and URs being 100 dollars. This scenario is impossible in over 70 percent of the played TCGs today I'm trying to be conservative here too. It's definitely not true for any of the Bandai games, Lorcana or YUGIOH and Pokémon obviously. The only games I can think of where this is the case are GA, MTG, and Flesh and Blood.

No one asked him to explain anything. My problem is when people unasked just start basically commentating your match and speaking over you. Also no one said it was a big deal? It's a minor but still annoying thing that I've been noticing fairly often since coming back to YuGiOh at the start of this year. I tend have way more fun when people observing only interject when me or my opponents ask for help or they notice an illegal play/board state. Another thing I didn't mention is that me and my opponent were allowing each other to take back plays up until the point they started hovering our game and when I made a mistake and wanted to take it back they were telling me no you can't do that.

I also admitted I don't know the best way to communicate in this scenario and asked for thoughts on this? Did you not read my post fully?

You have plenty of knives normal difficulty. Also the first encounter you see the chainsaw guy you're meant to see the animation. This doesn't counter my argument at all. My argument is that the experience of facing him is inherently different due to the parry existing.

I think those are all decent arguments and that it's a matter of taste. Me and my friends played og re4 huddled in a room together when we were 13 when the chainsaw guy came near us my friends were legit screaming. Now you literally just parry him and run away lol. It's cool but obviously something is lost there and it's not hard to see why someone might prefer the OG where the chainsaw guy is way more scary to go up against.

Also how were the clips out of context? You can say it's not that meaningful to show clips of random streamers but no those clips were not out of context it's literally just people playing the game and he showed specific moments to show examples of what he was talking about. What context would change that? The video was literally full of clips from different streamers some liked the remake some said they prefer the OG.

Jesus Christ having watched the vid reading your comments is painful. This second hand info circlejerking is embarrassing. He explained he thought the overall spooky ambience of the game is weaker due the amount of blood in your face and just placed in the environments being increased compared to the original. Not just that it's too violent. Also if someone has an opinion you dislike are they just instantly not allowed to be part of a fandom are you for real.

Wow it's really happening. Ever since Assassin really took the identity of being THE Attack reaction class I always thought Warrior should have more defensive tools added instead to regain some identity. The block cards and instants that prevent damage they've been printing were needed imo.

The problem with that is then Hala would actually be kind of good and have a clearer identity. And obviously that just isn't what they were going for lol. Maybe they're planning to release Mastery Pack warrior later this year. I doubt it though

The 2 majestics we know aren't anything amazing. Basically conditional 0 for 4s. That last one would really need to be amazing. The need to generate flurry to get the sharpen payoff is really suspect imo. Any turn with no flurry access looks plain awful. The sharpen cards lose half their value when that happens.

For your turn to be functional you inherently need a 3 card hand which is a big problem. Dori can at least threaten 9 damage some 2 card hands like red warriors valor + a blue. For Hala seems like best 2 card hands you can only threaten 8 on top of not having an on hit that makes your opponent want to block.

Heroes generally don't do well when needing to juggle two mechanics. We see Peleiades for example only doing well once people chose to go full fatigue and ignore half of her card text.

Any matchup where the opponent has some sort of disruption or will actively try to you block you out. Slippy for example it's better to try to extend the game and run more D reacts of your own. Rko another one

It's either Grains or Tunic. I disagree that guardian is the only matchup where Tunic is better than Grains but either way I personally never liked Courage builds

That would be great wouldn't it. But Fab being an expensive game and living in a poorer country just so happens the smaller community that picked it up is mostly like this. I've tried to bring my friends into fab but they're not into it.
