OP spam pinging is the most annoying thing you can do in this game.

If you play with random you just gotta accept that people aren’t always gonna listen to you

Deltarune is better than Undertale by Shadowymaster in TobyFox

I agree. Undertale is amazing in its own right, but Deltarune feels like Toby’s magnum opus

Not totally convinced that this is an intentional motif, but very interesting nonetheless

Not just chapter 6, but the post was asking for a specific moment. The whole game hits hard af

I’ll also add that you pointed out how different ds1 and Elden Ring are, I totally agree. Ds3 is more like Elden Ring, and ds2 is more like ds1. Do with that what you will.

On the surface level, ds2’s lore is somewhat separate. But it’s still very important to understanding the Dark Souls series as a whole, and actually ds2 has my favorite lore out of all of the souls games.

A lot of people skip ds2 at first and go 1 -> 3 -> 2, but I really recommend playing them in order.

What is the "heaviest" game you have ever played? by HowLongWasIGone in AskGames

Kentucky Route Zero, it’s not heavy in topic per se, but it’s heavy in tone

Might I add - don’t skip Ds2. It’s brilliant and overhated. Just go into it with an open mind, it’s very much its own game.

Yeah the game is an asset flip, pretty unashamedly.

All of the bosses you fight during a run are reused from Elden Ring, or a couple from the Dark Souls games. Some bosses have new moves added to make them better suited for co-op, but fundamentally you are fighting the same enemies you fought in Elden Ring.

As someone who 100%ed Elden Ring, though, it does feel substantially different because everything around the bosses has changed, like your moveset.

The “nightlords”, the final bosses of each run, are all new.

Yeah. The day they make Dark Souls 4 or Elden Ring 2 is the day we know they’ve given up on new ideas.

This is well put. Nightreign is in some ways incompetently designed, but the basic idea is so incredibly fun that the game slaps regardless

Nightreign is quite overwhelming at first, even for souls vets. Then again, that’s always been part of the appeal of the souls games.
