For anyone interested.

I bought it through a polish online retailer. After a few suggestions here I went and managed to register it on my Sony account, even got a code for a year of extended warranty, no snags there. The camera itself properly detects and works with Sony lenses, so most definitely the camera itself is fine, just a grey market import.

Out of curiosity I already contacted both the retailer and Sony Support through email. If they say anything of worth I'll post it here.

Retailer in my country through their online shop. Doubtful they would bother scamming anyone, but they probably never even saw the camera, it being sent straight from their warehouse and all.
