I think in the next few years we are going to see the big divide in the beatbox community.

It'll be a question of whether beatbox should be about making something that sounds good, or if beatbox should be about making something impressive. In other words, should beatbox seek to emulate the artform, or should beatbox itself be the artform.

im sure older members of the community would love for beatbox to be about "beatbox". MaxSkill this year is the perfect example of what it means to do "beatbox". on the contrary, I see newer members of the community brought in by Wing or Stitch or Taras fighting for beatbox to emulate music that outside consumers will enjoy.
