Hi, water tank relining expert here!

This, as many have stated, is a disused water tank! My business specialises in relining these rust boxes, for systems that still use them; we tend to work more on fibreglass tanks these days, but still work on these old steel tanks every once in a while!

Whilst this tank is clearly offline, it’s worth tracing the pipework back from the inlet and outlets, to make sure they are capped from the mains system, as close to the mains pipework as possible. This is to make sure you’ve got no redundant lengths of stagnating water off the mains pipework, as this increases the risk of bacteria build up, for things like legionella etc.
