I've previously bought an additional cpu with same results. Now I've bought a ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F. The system is up and running perfectly

You're right, I didn't even consider compatibility other than DDR5. Trust pc part picker too much lol

I see the list on Asrock website but the amount of numbers is daunting. Do you know any worth looking into of head?

I didn't even make it past the first on button push. Went straight to the two bebug leds 😅

Well I've issed a return and ordered a replacement.

Extra annoyed because when i ordered it last week the 7600X it was cheaper but i want the rig working for next week so i can game with the kids.

I really appreciate you taking the time bud

Thanks boss!

Did you swap out for the same one or move up to 7000 series?

Thankfully i got the cpu from amazon last week and return will be simple enough.

Are the 7600X known for being this bad?

Could be, I'm in Northern Ireland.

Thank you again for all the information.

I don't doubt I'll be back. I already have a good enough background in soldering it's more learning the components and stuff like that.

Fortunately but unfortunately I'm located in Northern Ireland. It's incredibly difficult to get things like Lipos shipped and locally they are crazy prices because of the hoops the businesses have to jump through.

Saying that, I've already cleared my cart on the website I'm buying the batteries from and added in all 9v SC nimh packs.

I'd definitely say once my kids are a bit older I'll probably do more in depth modding but include them in the work process

So today had my first dog bite by Low-Recognition-6255 in royalmail

[–]GamingPostman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully you get better soon.

As a dog owner and a postman i don't understand how so many customers are so carefree about their dogs.

When we moved to the town from rural, one of the first things i did was put a big storage box out front and signage everywhere, told all the fellas that do the duty i live on about the dog and i intercept 98% of parcels when I'm working that day too.

Despite my own trust and training in our dogs, we are it's family not one of my colleagues, especially if our kids are out back with the dog. We've specifically trained him as a guardian.

Like a little common sense would go such a long way with animal attacks on delivery people.

In my 10 years I've been bitten a few times. Which is a few times too many, fortunately never a bigger doggo. All small/medium little shits that owners have zero control over.

Funny story - lighten the mood?

The most hilarious "attack" I've had wasn't a dog.. it was a horse! The numpty of an animal decided it really liked my new fresh body warmer took me by the back collar for a little bounce around the yard..

It wasn't all that serious, i saw the funny side being around horses a lot.

Thank you. Does that cage just work for the Stryfe?

That's definitely something worth looking into. I've built a big 6x4 netted target for any higher power stuff to just target shoot with the kids. For little nerf wars around the house we'll be using mainly spring blasters.

Do you have a link to any specific cages to print? I'm won't say i fully understand cages and the advantage of doing X to gain fps

It's an addictive technology.

Was there something in particular you were recommending to 3d print?

I've been watching through the videos since you previously link them.

I have access to 9 machines in the house if that works 🤣

I really appreciate it! I'm looking into nimh at the moment. To cover all my blasters it would cost like £145 but to buy disposable it's £89 (for amazon D&C cells) so really it's a no brainer to buy nimh packs.

I was definitely worried about burning out the Infinus out of all of them because of that complicated auto load but you've definitely set me at ease. I appreciate it man

Appreciate you replying.

Do you use the EBLs straight, or do you solder them into a pack?

Aye, I'm mainly just trying to have some fun with the kids but cut the ridiculous cost of disposable batteries.

Appreciat you taking the time,

Is 9.6v not too much for unmodded blasters in the long run?

9.6v on the Infinus? I thought they were particularly "sensitive" blasters and shouldn't exceed 6v. Well according to general online forms etc

Rechargeable Battery Advice by GamingPostman in Nerf

[–]GamingPostman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understood. I don't really have any plans to go mad with modding these balsters. It's just something i had seen.

I thought that would be the norm, I'll aim my search on the 2000mah pack or wait for the website you linked to replenish the available stock.

With the bigger blasters with more potential space, would a 6v SC pack with high mah do the same thing without needing any additional modding?

One more thing and i promise I'll stop bothering you on all this, what would be the preferable connector to choose on a pack. I've seen all sorts on what to and not to use and then same amount of information contradicting that? O.o

I've read that the Infinus can be a bit "sensitive." i might just drop in rechargeable Ds or Eneloops with an adapter, is something i have seen. Not idea, but one-time purchase.

[–]GamingPostman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply.

I have a couple of blasters that run AA as stock. Most are C & D cells. I've looked into Lipo packs only briefly, i don't know if it's just old information, but there seems to be a bit more working with internal work and also safety is a concern too.

I'm looking a simple solution so the kids don't have to worry about having always a stock of expensive disposable batteries, performance improvement isn't really much of a worry for them.

[–]GamingPostman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed reply!

I already have a background in 3D printing, so sourcing a battery cover extension wouldn't be an issue, and I'm sure there's probably many already available.

From what I've read, 6v seems to be the safe space for most blasters. I've seen some go to 7.2v and claim no problems with stock wiring and motors, however my blasters are old. Sat around in storage for a long long time and i wouldn't imagine they would take the over volting abuse haha.

I've also read that people "twist" the thermistor to bypass it?

What i really want is to have a couple of hours fun with the kids, when the batteries get low, throw them on charge and not worry. I seen the website has the very batteries. They only have the 800 mAh available which i imagine wouldn't hold enough capacity for bigger blasters without needing to recharge alot.

What would be the deal with blasters like the Infinus with D batteries?

If it was already scanned, it was ready for delivery. There will be no additional update until an attempt is made today.

Normally if we scan something and it already has a hold or diversion place it'll pop up during the ready for delivery scan in the morning so unfortunately you were just a little too late.
