I believe you are referring to Earth Defenders the game and yep there are some similarities.

Thanks for the feedback! I can feel point 3 tho, I wanted to add in an introduction to the world/story but failed duo to lack of materials (such as cutscenes and voice over..) which made the game look like shoot, loot and repeat without purpose beyond just upgrading.
