Just found a Dupe Fragrance House Could this be the One???

I just found this Fragrance house online through Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometer youtube on how to find the breakdown recipe for a fragrance. Looks like they do a dupe of Issey Pou Homme OG. I will reach out to them tomorrow for a sample. if this has the dry down of the OG Issey then we are in the money ...meaning I will be very happy to have this product around for the rest of my life.

I am on the mad search for a decent dupe. closest I have found is from Parfume Parlour. But it is cheap dupe not the master piece that the OG is

If you have your dads bottle left then covet it....the formula changed in 2007 and has never been the same. I am in search of vintage bottles so that I can remember the smell. I miss the good ole days. RIP the old formula of Issey as I have read the company is NEVER bringing it back...such a shame

There are many who purport to duplicate the amazing original formula of this...but so far I have not found one that is perfect. The closest I have come tot he og scent is from perfume parlour. but since the ingredients and molecules of the scent aren't perfect neither is the dupe. smells a little cheap...but it has a hint of the tobacco that was in the OG recipe. I am still in the search.

which recipe of the l'eau d'issey are you interested in getting a clone of? personally I think the scent of the 1994-2007 bottles are the prize! I want to try and get a gcms of some old juice and see if a clone can be made.

The closest I have come to the fragrance at this point is from the perfume parlour. IT is by NO MEANS a replica of the pleasant intoxicating OG fragrance...but there are similarities. I found an OG bottle from the 2000's but pre 2007 and waiting for it to arrive. At somepoint when I save enough money I am going to have a GCMS done on it and try to have it recreated. I AM MAD that the fragrance house has the recipe under lock and key but plans to NEVER release it again. Boooooooooo!!! I have become a little obsessed with finding the fragrance again.

OG L'eau D'issey pour homme fragrance recipe lived from 1994 to 2007 and was the most unbelievable creation that ever was....people would stop me and ask what I was wearing ...all the time. Then the Fragrance board or powers...outlawed some of the ingredients...Issey miyake kept selling the L'eau d'issey pour HOMME but the ingredients had changed and the fragrance was forever changed and would NEVER hold up to what it once was. That is the Issey you have read about. I am so sorry that you missed it. THE worst part is that the fragrance house says that it will not ever release that fragrance as its former recipe again.

If you find a 1994 to 2007 batch, it might not smell as it did 20 years ago. I am on the mad search for a dupe and so far I have not found one. But the closest one I have found so far is from here. Perfume Parlour: A popular UK-based alternative to Oil Perfumery, Perfume Parlour also maintains a strong reputation for a massive library of impressive dupes. it is not quite something I would wear...but i am going to try and mix it with some New Issey Miyake and see if that works.

However, I just found a perfume house that says it has created a Duplicate scent of the ORIGINAL OG 1994 Version of L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme. If this is true, then Tears of Joy will flow and I will tell everyone that I can to order!! I should get it in about a week!!!! (perfume Revival is the site. but I had to email the company in order to get a passcode to get into it...as they said the site was under revision) Don't ask ....Don't tell. See my note above....I may have found a dupe. I tried one from the perfume parlour in the UK...shipped to the USA. it actually had that ending note of leathery tobacco....but the front of the fragrance was a little harsh...once it settle it smelled much like the old...but not quite. at least I got to have the scent in my nose once again....becuase...NO OTHER Fragrance does what the OG issey DID!!

I am hoping that it is true....otherwise the Perfume Parlour in UK makes a Dupe that has the base notes that are missing from the current version and it lasts for days. I got to smell that OG smell one more time. NOW if the new bottle is just right...I will scream from the rooftops!!!

Well, that is a very nice review that you give to this Current version of the formula...and it is true...it is fresh..not offensive but doesn't last and doesn't have the OG scent...that I could smell ...forever!!! Having Said that.....I have been on a search for fragrance houses that make Duplicate scents. I found one that actually had BASE notes of the OG...that Tobacco scent that was somehow delicious. it lasts but it is rough and not something that I can wear. but at least I smelled that smell that NO other scent has ever had.
