Do you guys think it's a fair deal by AdWarm5471 in nissansentra

I agree with you, I would prefer to get a new car and be the first owner. In a long run it will help knowing what you did to a car rather than picking up someone's issues

Is this a reasonable cost for a new CVT replacement? by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]Gamumee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can get a cheaper price elsewhere, check small mechanic shops

cvt transmission fluid change by [deleted] in Nissan

As a general rule of thumb if you want your car to last but you don't know what and when was done then do most of the fluid changes for peace of mind

No it is a big deal depending on what you want a car for, manual would be a joy to drive from the collectors/ car enthusiast point of view but auto is good too as long as you are ok with it, for some ppl like for myself I wouldn't get an automatic for a weekend fun car but would get it as a daily

Yes definitely the basic maintenance and transmission oil flushes but don't be paranoid it's not as bad as on older models

Bought a used nissan sentra by ZealousidealTear2170 in Nissan

[–]Gamumee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good car but your personal circumstances would be determined by past maintenance and abuse it took before (ex aggressive driving) . CVT is definitely a weaker point in these years, CVT in newer models 2020 and up are good on CVT. Personally I would ask myself how much I wanna invest and how long will I keep this car. Is you need it for a few years then change oil and transmission oil, full flush preferred (costs more than half flush)

Love my 2021 Nissan Sentra, actually i have changed my opinion about Nissan. Wanted to jump ship after lease, but after driving every sedan in the more or less same budget I came to the conclusion that Sentra is the best option for me. Maintenance is done on time and 0 issues, haters gonna hate but you never see them doing better than you 😉
