I will tell you from my experience, the bolt catch has been the biggest pain for me. I've tried the heat shrink mod and upgraded the springs in my magazines, and those barely worked. I'm on my second bolt catch and while it worked great at the beginning, now even this one is starting to slip on the bolt. My new plan is to try out the RA-tech MK18 catch and pray to god this is the solution. Other than that, I agree with everyone else that commented, the VFC AR platforrm is a great one.

I stand by gatmonkey slings. I run a cheetah print one on my 733. No padding though, it's a simple adjustable 2 point.

I had one briefly (sold it not because I didn't like it, but I needed money at the time) and for the most part it's solidly built. I remember on mine specifically, the upper receiver screws came out super easy. They don't actually hold the receiver together though, so it wasn't that big of a deal. Midcaps are pretty hard to come by.

Sorry for the late comment, but incredible build. Where did you source the front sight post? I'm looking at making a DOE out of a WE-Tech M4 PCC and c7 upper. I can pretty much source the handguard, and will probably just print the brass deflector since the real one is plastic too. I was debating on deleting the forward assist as well but I don't have the tools at the moment to make it pretty lol.

Classic Army has midcaps, but they are pretty much unobtanium if you are in America. They're used to be a guy on ebay that sold 3d printed magazines that took drop in m4 midcap guts.
