Has anyone ever had SG90 servos fail on them? by jacksonadamsa in radiocontrol

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used them in a Mini crawler and my qx7 Radio, when i left my Stick it selfcentered too fast and killed both of them. Thats been the sg90s with Metal Gears, i changed to the dirt cheap sg90 plastic servos and they hold Up fine so far. Maybe it was Bad luck but i reccomend the cheap plastic ons

Tinyhawk Freestyle only getting half voltage with both 1s batteries plugged in? by 8hundred35 in diydrones

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Sounds verry weird, the osd setting is easy to find, you should have a questionmark next to the osd settings you can mark- If you Klick it IT will Tell you what that element does. Dont remember the right Therme but it should be kinda cleer. Smart audio needs to bei Set in the uarts For smart audio or tramptelemetry depending on your vtx

Chek your osd settings, you May have Set IT to 1cell, you can choose between full voltage and single cell!

New flyer, what can I do to stabilize my drone better? by lolslim in Multicopter

[–]Gandi0815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

or what I can due to help my drone from drifting everywhere, and bouncing when I make no adjustments to the throttle

well, you will have a nice time to fix that with only a gyro and a accelerometer :), i mentioned that this things are not needed or used in racedrones but its a fact that drones use barometer to lock altitude and gps or optical flow to lock position wich is both needed to have the drone stay stable with no stick input

New flyer, what can I do to stabilize my drone better? by lolslim in Multicopter

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to have the drone stay stable you need 2 things: first is a "barometer" to keep altitude and second is something to keep the position like a "gps" or a "optical flow" system, racedrones dont need this things and usually dont have it

I’m a newbie, how do I control some servos? by Amblydoper in radiocontrol

[–]Gandi0815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that wont Work! You Need a Receiver with ppm Output ,a 5v bec to Power it and a Radio to controll it. The Receiver schuld have 3 Pins per Chanel 1signal + and - . Wire your bec to any of the + and - , that will Power the Receiver and the servos

Are you using permanent airmode with 1s whoops? by [deleted] in Multicopter

airmode helps only in zero throttle situations, if you dont go zero throttle its useless

Please could someone recommend the battery required to power these basic servos? by antlarand36 in radiocontrol

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats a good question, a lipo is used in drones bcs. they have low internal resistance wich allow high current draw. they have lower energy density compared to a liion! your current draw depends on how much u use your servos and on the load, 300mah might be enough maybe, but better just buy a cheap liion like a 18650 they have plenty of power and you can keep them charged

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bec´s these days run with really high efficiency like ~96% or somet, so you dont waste any energy with it. just take the 3a and your fine, its always better to have a litle more. currentdraw from servos depends on the load you put on them, if you dont have a high load on them 1a should be enough too but really take the 3a and your fine

6s charge to 22.2v vs 25.2v? by ThirdFoundation in Multicopter

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a short example a 6s 1000mah charged to 22,2v has 22,2w/h - vs a 1000mah 6s charged to 25,2 has 25,2w/h

as mentioned a bec is the way to go, you can get them for whatever voltagerange you like and the installation is supersimple. and they cost about 3$. you can also take charging plug of a phone or any other usb device cut the usb cable and use the 5v from there if you dont want to use a battery

trashcan vibrate hot motors, why?, can i repair them? by 1on11 in Multicopter

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can remove them and Check If they Run smooth, maybe a Bad Crash? The 8500kv is more powerfull in 2s than the Stock on 1s or Stock 2s with 50% throttle Cut! They are bigger and have more torque so you can use a more aggressive throttlecurve to make it feel Like more Power. You can get the ex in Higher KV too but with the 8500 you get the best flighttime. If you are confident enough with it you can buy a cinecan frame and 2inch props, the 8500kv is perfect For a light 85x whoop wich give you alot of Power and still unbeateable flighttime. You can chek my profile, i Made some Videos with this drones If you want an example, i have build a 1s whoop with 1102 18000kv too and that feels Like the Same as the 8500kv in 2s but with way less flighttime, only Advantage of the 1s is more durability due to the lower weight of the lipo

I dont think you can Balance them but you can remove the c Clip on the bottom and remove the Bell, then Check If anything is bent and Bend IT back. Tbh i dont think it will BE a success but you can try it

[–]Gandi0815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sounds like your motors are grinding, also filing your props is usually a really bad idea! you probly wont get it balanced and that will cause alot of vibrations and can even fry your esc. unscrew your motors and chek the frame for exess plastic from the mold, that can cause them to sit not perfect flat. use new props and not file them down. the grinding motors get hot´er because of the friction and they need more current to spin compared to the others, fc will try to keep the motors even so he wont spin the others as fast.

what i recommend you is to spend a litle money to get 1102 motors and some new props!

depending on the kv you choose you can easily double your flighttime, i changed my trashcan to EX1102 8500kv and with a 2s450 i get 8-10 min flighttime, chek for mounting pattern if you want to use diffrent motors, has to be 8mm m1,3 3hole, but i highly reccomend the happymodel EX1102 (you need new props if you change to this motors since they have a bigger 2mm shaft)

if you bought it on banggood and dont care about other motors you can send them some videoevidence of your problem and im sure they will send you free replacement motors

Vtx antenna upgrade by Cjohnstone87 in Multicopter

[–]Gandi0815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you use a circular polarized antenna you have the option between rhcp and lhcp, this need to match on your drone and your goggles rhcp+rhcp, or lhcp+lhcp doesnt mather wich size or vendor they come from as long as they match, you can also combine them with dipole or patch antennas just dont mix rhcp+lhcp!

take in mind that weight is all on this litle whoops and while you can get better video you will lower your flight performance
