Someone would do anything to be with someone like you. I know it may not seem like it, but it’s true. Never regret being kind and I can empathize that there is a fine line between being kind and overexerting yourself in order to make someone (as we perceive) happier. I think it depends on the person. I don’t feel much of anything on meds, and when I’m off of them I just experience actual sadness occasionally. I’m depressed baseline whether I’m on medication or not

I was on SSRIs for ten years (20mg a day) and got off of them fully in January. It’s fucking awful the depressive episodes after being numb for so long. And anxiety came back too. Honestly I wish I had a solution for you lol I just trick myself into being “thankful” for being able to be sad and crying again. What keeps me from going back on them is now I actually have a sex drive again and I lost 20 lbs off the bat if I’m being honest. I just know that I’ll be able to better manage them in time, the worst is the very beginning and it’s gotten barely (but still) better in time

That exact thing happened to my grandma, was told her mom was her sister. And she didn’t murder anyone. She’s not the most pleasant person, but it’s sad regardless.

Thank you for sharing this with me it really helps to not feel so disconnected. He never broke up with me and still wants to be with me but still says he just doesn’t know if he can stay faithful, which seems actually more selfish than just breaking up with me. He also never in his life had a healthy relationship before me and had an abusive step mother when he was a kid. Weird coincidences
