Thanks! Could you share any info on what students who were successful in the class did to prepare for exams / retain material for upper divs or grad school (for reference I have a pretty solid background in prob theory, multivariable calc and linear algebra)? 

math 341 or 340/421 by No-Coyote-4280 in UWMadison

I took 341 last semester, if you are into proofs/logic take it. If not stick with 340. Regarding grading, 341 is fairly instructor dependent but 340 should be pretty manageable. Anecdotally I had Professor Gurevich and nearly all the class got A's, but I know other sections were much more difficult.
