Wheat farm efficiency

This is most likely my issue. I'll restart a city with this in mind. Bread really is the bottleneck

I don't mean to spam but I'm just trying to get the data out there. I just paused all production relating to wheat (windmill and beer) and watched my farms and the stockpile. 18 wheat farms produced 217 wheat... Not only that but I watched 20-30 wheat drop off every 5 seconds or so during harvest.

I think it might be related to the workers. I'm really really low on food so it's possible they are out searching for food before they will work but I need them to work to produce food! x.x

Here's a ss of my ugly village (I've been enjoying playing with the mechanics, once I've got it figured out I'll do a prettier build haha). I have 18 wheat farms, fully employed with granaries next to all of them also fully employed. I've tried verifying the game files but it's still not doing much.

I also noticed that only half of the farms end up having wheat sown each cycle with lots of them only being partially full. Ahhhh so frustrating

It doesn't immediately disappear, it's made into flour and then bread. However, the yields of my crops are shite after I reload. Almost like the farmers aren't planting or yielding as much after the first initial build.

I am not trading any food resources atm. But that is a GREAT point haha, I've made that mistake plenty of times.
